Question about Westinghouse W33001 30 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

1 Answer

I have a Westignhouse W33001 LCD 30 inch TV. The tv just shut off and will not power back on. I checked power supply and it has green led. Also after checking further the Main Unit Board and Power Supply connector to main board is burnt. I am sure Main Board, pwr supply and associated cables needs to be replaced. I found Main Board on internet but can't locate a pwr supply with associated cables to connect to mother board. Can you help?

This was listed for POWER SUPPLY and would be external now if you need the Main connector or cables within the tv you might try www.partstore.com or Matt's Eletronics for parts.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

My westinghouse w33001 flat screen tv keeps shutting off. It will be fine for a few minutes, then shut down. No power (red light out). Power cord is plugged in. Checked all connections.

It is shutting down may be because of bad power supply or shorts circuits in the backlight inverter board. You will need to do in-depth troubleshootting to narrow down the problems.

Same as above

If it has sound but no raster or no picture it might be a back light problem, this could be worth the repair, check with your local repair shop and see what a repair of this type could run.

HI, try a new wall outlet in the home or business. if the wall outlets are live, try replacing the power cord. if this doesn't yield results, replace the internal power unit(inverter board)
