Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have posted before in April of this year ..i own a samsung home cinema 5.1 surround sound system HT-TZ225 and it has a month left under warranty, it has only just got back from being fixed as it was showing disc error all the time and had a whirring noise, well it now plays discs fine but the whirring motor type noise starts within seconds of turning on the HD box, why is this?

The whirring noise comes from the fan of the unit, it's going bad and must be replaced - take it back to the shop and this time make some noise, this is something that should have been fixed by them from the start.
BTW the noise starts when you activate the HD upscaling because to do that the processor of the unit has to work hard - this heats it big time - the fan at the back of the unit is put at full force and reveals the fact it has aged and vibrates = the whirring sound you hear.

Will a swa 5000 tx card fit a ht-tz225 home theater ststem

Unfortunately it would appear not. I just bought an SWA 5000 for my HT TZ 225 home threatre system as it would seem the SWA 4000 has been discontinued - the HT-TZ225 refers to the SWA 4000 doesn't it.

The tx card that accompanied the SWA 5000 was too big and did not fit in the back of the DVD player so I will have to return this to the retailer and keep looking for an SWA 4000 . . .

Unless anyone has another solution.

Samsung HT-TZ225 Home Cinema System Ok the speakers are fine but the dvd player is selecting which discs it plays and makes a whirring noise when switched on..I have bought a lense cleaner but it hasn`t...

the fault is from the lens. The lens is weak such that a lens cleaner cannot revive it to its former state.

If the player is still under warranty, it would be better for you to return it.

But if its not under warranty, then you will have to change the lens completely, to a brand new one. By so doing, the player will play all discs.

You need a more active lens for your player to play all discs.

Good luck.

I cant get my samsung home cinema system to play through my t.v

I bought the optical audio cable ($15 WalMart) and use the Digital In on the DVD player to play the sound through the surround system and turned the TV speakers off. Works great! The optial audio has square ends and looks transparent with just one round shaped cable that goes from the TV to the back of the DVD player.

You should have a AUDIO menu in which you can simulate true surround sound. This should be in your owners manual. Your DVD is recorded in dolby surround sound that's why on your set it will be reproduced as recorded. I hope Samsung is using a ATSC tuner in that model?
