Question about Audio Players & Recorders
The whirring noise comes from the fan of the unit, it's going bad and must be replaced - take it back to the shop and this time make some noise, this is something that should have been fixed by them from the start.
BTW the noise starts when you activate the HD upscaling because to do that the processor of the unit has to work hard - this heats it big time - the fan at the back of the unit is put at full force and reveals the fact it has aged and vibrates = the whirring sound you hear.
