Question about Washing Machines

Bosch Maxx Washing Machine My fabric softener is not being taken into the wash. Water is going into the compartment. Then when I do my next wash if I put some more softener in, it fills up to the max level and immediately drains away, so no good as you want it at the end of the wash.

Hi there is no hose and levers etc, water comes in through holes above the drawer. I have cleaned everything I can, and the softener has gone into the wash but that compartment is full of water, so when I add the softener to the next wash it will empty immediately and not when it should. Any other ideas?

Check the hose at the back of the softener drawer, check that they are not obstructed, check also that the lever closing and opening the holes for softener and detergent is moving regularly

Make sure the power is turned off. Take the top off the machine two
screws at the back need undoing then remove centre bar which holds the
drum up and supports drum. Then remove the pipes and the white box
which the water comes into it is all clipped together and comes undone.

The box splits apart so you can clean the black sludge out. To stop
this happening again I cut off part of the white holed section where
the water comes in about 1cm and then clipped it all back together and
reassembled it all. It took me about 45 minutes to do this but it was
worth it. I did this about 2 years ago and I've never had trouble since
as the hole for the water to come through into the fabric dispenser
    drawer is now much bigger.

I've a Bosch avantixx washing machine and it won't empty the fabric softener unit. It has water left in or some softner. I've taken the tray out and cleaned it.

The softener unit is flushed between wash cycles to prevent clogging. What you are describing is normal operation.

Bosch Maxx softener dispenser full of water at end of cycle

it seems that there must be a blockage in the siphon tank softener.
Remove the drawer and wash well, remove the siphon softener (just pull up)

My Bosch washing machine doesn't add the softener from its compartment

The first thing you should do is check the compartment from the fabric softener. If something is blocking the exit of the softener, the machine will not add it.

If you checked the exit or the holes in the valve of the fabric softener compartment and nothing seems to be stuck there, there could be a problem with your washer's timer. Check the timer and get a replacement for it.

The Softener is not going through.

you need to take the soapbox out and clean thoroughly. Pull the soapbox out to the point where you get resistance and the you will see a tab you press to release it fully. Do not force the soapbox out. Take it to the sink and clean with hot water. Softener can be like jello when it drys and will block the release.

Fabric softener compartment problem.

I have this problem as well.. All washing machines manufactured nowadays are energy effficient, which means that they don't use as much water as the older models. This can result in a build-up of bacteria in the top part of the washing machine, which is clogging up the bit where the water comes through to flush the fabric conditioner into the drum. What I have to do every so often, is to take the top off the washing machine and clean out the layer of black slime that has built up, blocking the holes where the water goes into the washing machine. Another contributory factor is that the usual program used is a 40 degree wash, which is not hot enough to completely flush the machine through. Manufacturers recommend running a 90 degree wash once a month with just washing powder in iit, no clothes. Hope this is some help

Water remains in fabric softner compartment

Is the softener entering the machine; that is at the appropriate time? You can take a peep at this time, if possible. If it is water it is okay; this is just the remaining water. The softener is dissolved with water and flushed into the machine.
