How long have you noticed the decrease in speed? Are you charging the batteries regularly? Have you checked your air pressure in your drive tires?
If the batteries are getting old or the power chair has been stored for a while, the batteries may not be taking a full charge. If your speed indicator is showing full like always but the power chair is not responding like it used to, it may be a battery issue.
As you operate the power chair, listen for noise and pay attention to see if there is any vibration, this may indicate a mechanical problem that is causing power drain.
If not, your power chair may still be within normal parameters, just not "new out of the box" anymore. Make sure that you decrease your speed when going up inclines to avoid excess wear on the motors.
Good luck!

How to increase speed in non-gear bicycle

While riding your bicycle, you might find it hard to accelerate. You may feel like pedalling at the same rhythm. At these times,it is good to raise your back a few inches from the seat and pedal. This reduces the gravitational concentration near your seat and the pressure from the weight of your body on pedals will increase. Now you can pedal faster with ease.

Note:Since raising from seat and pedalling cycle makes way for more energy burn, you might get tired soon. Alternate this method with usual cycling to go faster in cycle.

Warning: Chances are your leg might slip pedal and you may hit the bar or seat. Remain careful while pedalling as i said. Avoid this method when your feet is slippery.

RPM's up + car speed not increasing = slipping clutch disc, yes, sounds like bad clutch.

I do not understand about torque on my new makita 18v lithium-ion battery drill. When I use it through drywall then into wood or straight wood into wood it seems to stall when I am almost done. Is this to...

Hi Kathy,

Welcome to fixya!

You adjust the torque by increasing the setting on the dial behind the chuck. It will feel to you as if you increased the power when you drill.
Don't set it higher than you need it. Just increase the setting until you're happy with the way it's working.

Good luck

My Epic 425 is getting louder and louder, a whirring noise, but can't seem to find maintenance help

Hi,

It sounds like you have a drive motoer failing. The only other place that can be load or making noise is the front and rear roller. The rollers bearings when failing make a "popping" or "clicking" noise, and increases as you speen up. The motor "growls", and the faster you go the noise is..... well loud. The way to confirm this is to remove the motor hood, then start the treadmill on power/speed level 3. Be very carefull, and use a broom stick (wooden) to put on the drive motor while it is running. You should be able to "feel" what you are hearing. You should then raise the speed, and you will then feel the increase as well.

The replacement motor is around $200.00.

Hope this helps

I need to know if the CPU speed can be increased to 1GHz or over and that I have put in 2 memory modules of 128MB onto it but only 128MB appears on the System Properties. Irvin.

You are confusing 2 things, CPU speed and Memory or Ram speed.

To keep things straight forward, cpu speed can only be increased by replacing it with a faster cpu.

Ram, as you can see, can be increased by adding faster ram modules.

Go to either of these websites:-

http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/default.asp

http://www.crucial.com/uk/

Enter *********** board details or request they scan your computer. Check all the information offered, they will tell you what type and how much ram your motherboard can use.

If you can't increase your ram speed to more that 1Gb, I would suggest it time to invest in a new motherboard/PC rather than spending more on RAM.

There can be a whole load of reason why your second stick of ram doesn't work.

1) it could be broken.
2) It could be the wrong type.
3) You may need to update your Bios to accommodate it. Though this is very unusual.
