OK, I found a fix. Rang the Nissan service center and gave them the VIN number of the car. They gave me the code and I re-coded the stereo. Every code is different so you need to have your VIN number to fix this problem.

You will need to turn the ignition on (do not start the car) turn on the radio and leave it on for anywhere between 1 - 3hrs untill it prompts you for a code.

There is a internal timer which adds time depending on how many times the code is entered wrongly.

Do not start the car, or turn off the ignition or radio during the 1 - 3 hr period.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Adam

Leave the key on the accessories position and the radio on so that ERR is displaying. Leave it for 1+ hours after that the display will say CODE, then enter the code using the 1234 memory key and you will be fine!

I can not figure out to wire my aftermarket radio in my 96 chevy

I bet you the "battery" supply wire touched a ground somehow and blown a fuse. This wire is responsible for the memory, since it always have battery voltage in it. Unless of course you take out the battery connection. I would recomend looking for that blown fuse first. If the stereo was hooked up right you should not have memory problem anymore and the interior light working again. If you still have memory problem, you probably have the "battery" supply connected to the red accesory wire, or you have them both together. Having them both together is not a bad thing, only that it should be connected to the "battery" supply. You can turn on your radio with the ignition switch off. If you hook both on the "accesory wire" you would loose all your setting and memory on the radio each time you turn off the ignition switch. Remember not to touch the speaker wire to the ground, because the amplifier in the radio will be fried up in a fraction of a second. Some good radio has a protection circuit for that, but don't bet on it. I am confident this will help.

I have a peavey pro-fex 2 preamp/FX ver 1.3 controller and when powereing up, get DSP interface error. Do you know what this means or how to fix it?

Your Profex likely has a dead NiCD battery. You are getting this error because this battery maintains your personal effect settings on an SRAM chip that requires constant power to "live". You can try reinitializing the SRAM on your unit by doing the following:

1. Power off your Profex.
2. Press and Hold the "PLAY" and "GLOBAL" buttons while powering the unit on.
3. You should see a message on the display that reads "MEMORY INITIALIZED". Afterwards the Profex should act normal.
4. If your internal battery is getting low or is already dead, it is going to start leaking (if it hasn't already). YOU NEED TO GET THAT BATTERY CHANGED NOW!!!!! If enough battery acid leaks onto the circuit board, it will ruin your Profex forever.

Receiver standby/on switch is flashing and cannot turn receiver back on

Try checking your speaker cables as one of them may be touching the case of the amp,or touching another cable, this can cause a short and cause the error message. The amp is protecting itself .
hope this helps.

My cd player shows err whenever I put in a cd even if i put in a new cd it still shows err.

Your cd shows error whatever you put a cd ,,the problem is in the mechanism in the roller, that moving back and port bringing the set .The roller is under the tray which you going to put the discs. The old grease their is hardened already that cause abnormal travel of roller . Clean that by using a lighter fluid or like that fluid ,in order to take the old dirt grease and replace it with a new one , a first class grease type-A grease put only little amount in the roller. Wipe the lense witha use of cotton buds without any chemical. Try this solution so performance will be better...feel free for asking further assisstance rate me as fixya....

Stand by button flashes but receiver wont turn on

I have vsx-d812 that has an AMP ERR in error menu. the troubleshooting was found to be Q696 and Q697 in the DC prot. area on "C" board, up near front toward diplay in center of c board. You can get access to error codes on VSX pioneer unit by pressing "enter" and "adv. surr." simultaneously for 2 sec. The display should show what error code you are experiencing. I believe there are three diff. error codes. 1) AMP ERR 2) OVERLOAD 3) BOAD ERR (not mistyped) I hope this helps pinpoint error code for ya.
