Question about Canon PC-941 Copier

Installed a remanufactured tone and immediately it is leaving one (or 2 at times) dark lines across the copies.

Where the lines there before you put the cartridge in? If not, I would have to say, bring the cartridge back with a sample copy and return it for another one... Good Luck .... It's half the price, but there are some that do not work

Mysterious fluctuation in quality of copies.


fuser drum is bad. photocopier use electricity to transfer the toner to the paper, then it is heat fused to paper. it appears that the problem is occurring around the time that the toner is attracted to the paper.

Copier leaves a black line when printing through the top paper feeder. Ok coping from the flatbed


When copying from the feeder the page is fed across a fixed point at the head of the flatbed. Any dirt etc on the glass at this point can present as a dark line running vertically down the printed page. When copying from the flatbed, the scan head is moved down the page so any dirt on the glass will only appear as specs. Try cleaning the glass, especially at the head of the flatbed where the feeder is loading the page to be copied.

clean that small glass on printer if problem still continue open all machine and try blow it blower machine!

Dark horizontal lines appear across copies


This is usually caused by a dirty main charger grid, try cleaning it per the instructions in your operators guide. If you don't have the guide you may be able to download one from the Minolta Website at

Was the toner remanufactured/ compatible?
Sounds to me like the doctor blade in the cartridge is 'gummed' up and not allowing the toner to flow evenly across the Developer roller......try another cartridge

HP Laserjet 3330 printed dark page especially around the middle


Does this happen both when copying and printing?
For printing solution, try another toner cartridge.
If lines continue to appear when copying (primarily through the automatic feeder) then lift the auto feeder, and clean the glass -mainly the narrow piece on the left side.

I have a dark line across copies


Whats the make and model of the copier?
One culprit might be the drum.  If you can take a look at the drum from your copier and you see black lines on it.  It could be scratches on the drum or it may need a new cleaning blade to clean the toner off the drum.

Vs-60607 brightness problems


This sounds like it is a problem with the tv. Mitsubishi does have a problem with filter caps in thier regulator circuits. A repair tech will have to fix it.

Dark Copies


Jim, A couple of things: 1. OEM (Canon original) toner cartridge or remanufactured/compatible? The first place to start is always with the toner cartridge when image problems occur. Pull the cartridge out and draw back the drum cover. Check to see if the drum is a nice "clean" blue color or if the lines and spots are on it like you described. (These two areas should be handled by someone with experience in copy service) 2. The next thing would involved cleaning under the copy glass. Build up from dust, etc causes a "fogginess" that makes the machine try to adjust the intensity of the exposure lamp to conpensate for this. 3. Also could be a bad upper fuser roller if you started having any paper jams when to paper exits.

Copy directly from the manual: TONE/PULSE Your phone is set to TONE at the factory. Set the TONE/PULSE selection to PULSE if you have pulse (rotary). If you don't know which type of service you have (pulse or tone), check with your phone company. To program TONE/PULSE for all 3 lines: 1. Press STORE/IN 2. Press 0 for PULSE or Press 1 for TONE 3. Press STORE/IN 4. Press TONE To program TONE/PULSE for each line individually: 1. Press STORE/IN 2. Press 0 for PULSE or Press 1 for TONE 3. Press STORE/IN 4. Press LOWER 5. Press line number (1, 2, or 3)
