Electric inlet valve isn't closing and needs to be replaced. Not an expensive part and easy to replace. No question about it, the valve is stuck. When not on cycle or switched off it must seal off water line completely. Unplug the machine, turn off the water line to it and call the repairman or replace the valve yourself if you're experienced in DIY.

Water leaking from the panel under the turn knob

Water comes in the back, then goes via to solenoid valves to the back of the powder tray, it then is distributed through holes above each compartment, take out the powder tray (push down the blue bit at the back of the softener compartment) and check for cracks or even blockages, (water goes from tray down the back and through a short rubber hose straight into the drum.

After cycle is finished and clothes removed, I go back the next day and find water in the machine, about 3 inches.

The inlet valve is leaking water into the machine. When the machine is switched off the valve should close to prevent water getting in but sometimes fine grit from the water gets into it, even through the mesh filter, and stops it from closing fully. This happens mostly when you use water from a well. There are only 2 options.
  1. Have a new inlet valve fitted. The inlet valve is the part at the back to which the hose supplying the water is attached. It would mean opening up the machine so unless you're good with machines it would be safer to get it done professionally.
  2. The other option is to switch off the water supply to the machine eacy time after using it. I know it's not ideal but the amount of water leaking in will probably get worse over time and may eventually be high enough to flow out the washing machine door when it's opened.
Note: Even if the inlet valve is replaced, if there's fine grit in the water it may happen again. Sorry I couldn't give you better news.

Water is slowly leaking into the drum even though

One or both of the water inlet solenoids is/are leaking. They are just inside the cabinet where the outside water lines connect. If you have a lot of sand coming in with your water, you might install a whole house filter to trap it. If sand is getting into the solenoid valve seats, that can cause the leaking condition. Hope this helps!

Hello rschneeweis

Sounds like a seal or drain hose is leaking or the clamp on a hose has vibrated loose.

Water leaking out the bottom of the machine when washing machine begins agitation cycle. If the machine is turned off the water stops leaking even with the tub full of water.

Let me know if you found it and how you do.

Washing machine keeps taking water in even after programme has stopped

poss moisture on your control module causing tracking . unplug your machine from the mains and take the back panel off, you can try blowdrying the module down in the bottom left hand corner or you can take it off (noting where all the leads go to),get an old toothbrush and clean the solered side around the bottom of the board failing that you will most probably have to change it

Cold water continues to run during entire wash cycle

Adrea, sounds like you need a new valve. When it's doing this leaking, unplug the washer. If it's still leaking you know for sure it's the valve. Part number for the model posted is 22002360. back.
