Yes the Printer is compatible with Windows 7 both 32bit and 64bit, you can install the printer on Windows 7 without any eternal driver source, the drivers for this product model are already included in the Operating System, all you have to do is;

  • Turn the product on.
  • Connect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to the printer, and then to the computer.
  • A Your devices are ready to use window might display on the screen.
Note: When you connect the USB cable to the product, and then to the computer, Windows 7 activates Windows Update. Windows Update searches online for the most recent product driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more recent than the driver stored in Windows 7, the computer downloads and installs the updated driver.The Windows Update process takes place automatically. Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress.

Select the Operating System (e.g. Windows 7, 32Bit or 64Bit) and download/ Install the drivers.

Not able recognize the usb device for windows 7
If you can, check that the printer is still recognized on another pc. It's possible that the printer is faulty.
If it does work on another pc, then the next step is to try a different USB port on your computer, preferabbly one at the back of the computer, not the front.
Also make sure you have install the drivers before you connect it to your computer.

Hp psc 1210 printer
The 1210 is a very old model (in computer age!) so it might not work with the EEE range, especially if you are runnning linux - you could look for linux divers in google if the EEE is running linux. If it is running windows I don't know why it wouldn't load the software as normal

Scanner hp psc 1210 all in one printer
Hi there.

As there is no full featured software available of PSC 1210 All-In-One for Windows Vista, we cannot scan from the All-In-One itself.

However, we may utilize the scanning functionality with the Microsoft Paint and Windows Photo Gallery on the computer.
