Question about Gateway MX6442 Notebook
Usually with DVD is not so much drivers...
if you have not already tried this..
go to the control panel..
then to device manager..
uninstall the CD/DVD drive, but dont click in the box that says "delete"..
reboot the computer then test a DVD out... it not alternative steps here...
here is the microsoft link to the automatic troubleshooting service for this issue...
just click on the Run on the right hand side and it will start the automatic resolution for you.. it is the upper and lower filters in the registry if you already uninstalled and rebooted and nothing... the microsoft solution should work for you if contact the manufacturer...
