Question about Logitech Webcam

Hello, I recently purchased a logitech webcam, and I plugged it in and downloaded all my software and Skype, and the very first time that I used it it worked great. I could talk with my friend. The second time, and every time since then I have been able to see and hear whats going on on other cams but my camera isn't working. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it, and I havent tried uninstalling and re-installing yet, I might have to have the software to do so, but I was just hoping this was a common problem with an easy fix. Thanks for any advice and help.

Please remove all software which you are install with web cam.after that please go to run and enter "devmgmt.msc" you will get device manager remove all of the USB driver from the device manager and click on Scan for hardware changes. It will install all of the USB drivers. After that connect the web cam and install the web cam driver.

Hello!
Sign in failure can be caused not only by the camera or Skype, but also by slow connection.

You first need to make sure that your camera is functional. Please, follow these steps and open these two windows:
  • QuickCam software: Start>Programs>Logitech>Logitech QuickCam and
  • Logitech Webcam Software: Start>Programs>Logitech>Logitech Webcam Software
  • Make sure you can see yourself in the Webcam software window
  • Close the webcam software window
Make sure your webcam is selected in Skype settings so that Skype can use it:
  • Sign in to your Skype, click Tools>Options>General>Video Settings
  • Check (click to have "tick" in the box) both "Enable Skype Video" and "Start my video automatically when I am in a call
  • Under Select Webcam (Default video device) choose Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX
  • Save
  • In Audio Settings choose Logitech Mic to be your default microphone (you have it built in your camera)
  • Check to mark the box "Let Skype adjust my audio settings"
  • Save
  • It should work now.
If you experience issues like signing in to your Skype is taking too long, Can't sign in, or you can't see or hear the other person, then you should contact your internet provider for slow connection. Also, you can check your connection using Speed Test online (www.speedtest.net).

Skype is very picky about having the latest drivers and you also need to see if your support software ( not downloaded with the Logitech software ) is up to date and functioning OK

Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page.
Note - Older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom right of page 1 and click on it "Still can't find your product?"

In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to check the support software - Microsoft DirectX . This comes pre-loaded on most Windows computers but has to be updated - I am currently on version 11
To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click 'Start', click 'Run', type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK
Run through the tabs checking the 'notes' windows for information
The version will be shown on the 'Systems' tab

Procedure to re-install Logitech software
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Restart computer
Download the Installation package from Logitech
Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must.

Just prior to using Skype reboot the webcam software by unplugging it for a few seconds and do not run your logitech software for a preview, but allow Skype total control

Logitech camera shuts off when on skype


Make sure you have the very latest software

Logitech C200 webcam


Opting out of Logitech vid will not affect the webcam - I done the same.
Plug in your cam
Launch the logitech toolbar and use the Quick Capture menu ( 2 film frame picture )
If your webcam software is correctly loaded, your webcam should start.
If it fails - you need to uninstall the current software - unplug the webcam and visit the logitech website. Identify your webcam from the picture gallery and click on it to go to the support page for that model

Hello i have the same problem i lost my cd wat do i do?? how can i install it?


1)Ok, if drivers are the only thing you're missing, go to www.logitech.com, then at the top of the screen go to "support" then click on "downloads" and then use the search tools to locate your webcam model and it should allow you to download the original driver. 
2)If you would rather have a physical version, if you purchased the webcam from a large retailer, call the store, and explain your situation. They may be able to burn a duplicate CD/DVD for free or a very minimal change. I'm pretty sure logitech provides the same service, but you'll have a longer wait as they'll send the CD/DVD by mail.

We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with Skype video.
Thank you for contacting Skype customer support about your video settings.
If you are using a Logitech webcam, please follow the steps below:
NB! To begin with please close Skype and make sure that you have unplugged the webcamera before installing the installation software that came with it.
1) Go to the control panel and open Add/Remove programs. Then from there uninstall any Logitech webcam software and Logitech webcam drivers from the list shown.
2) Download the latest drivers for your webcam from

3) Open the webcam installer package by double clicking it.
Now select: Custom installation (advanced) and click next. You are now given a choice whether you would like to install the software and drivers or just the drivers. Please select the second option (Logitech QuickCam drivers) then uncheck 'Enable VoIP Device Management' and click 'Next'. Accept the agreements and on the next page select 'I do not want to activate this Service' (Logitech destkop Messenger). Click 'Next' and the Logitech drivers should be installed. Restart your system and plug in your webcam. Your webcam should now be correctly installed.

Logitech WebCam Pro 5000 - Video Problem


Well the thing is with Digital Camera If there is lots going on (on the computer) your other program might interfer
1st end all processes that might have anything to do with the camera or that may be using any of its features, I would retart your computer as well
If you still have any issue uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the camera.
But I'm thinking you might have too much going on in the computer at the same time
