Logitech Z5500 THX what is the real RMS wattage?

Modest. If it has a plate on it near the power cord that specifies AC power consumption THAT is the maximum power it uses. Given that heat and other energy transformations and losses occur in the process of converting an audio signal to a speaker output the effective audio power would be VERY much lower than the total (say, 40%) and then it would be divided among all the speakers.

Page 11 tells the fairy tale according to Logitech.

I don't think any reputable testing labratory has taken the time to put this thing through the ringer to establish actual performance data versus that which is claimed. Considering that this, like many other mid-fi products, uses TOTALS for its specs to entice the gullible (speakers a,b,c,d... wattages ADDED together) instead of 'watts per-channel from x-to-y frequency at less than z distortion' which are used by reputable amp and speaker makers, a large grain of salt must be taken with these claims.

Only right side volume working wehn volume is low, when volume is high both sides work but distorted

Hi there,

It may mean that the connection for your left side speakers are loose or they are not connected properly. you can also try plugging the speakers to another music source (ipod, stereo, etc.)
If the same problem happens it is most likely a faulty wiring on the left speakers.

PS - if your computer volume software has the balance option make sure it's in the middle and not set to have output on just the left or the right side.

Hope this helps!

Logitech z5500 speakers no power

certainly sounds like a fuse problem. First check that the fuses you have used work in another appliance. You should not have to use a fuse from the logitech company but it will be rated for your speakers so would probably be best. If the fuse checks out (both plug and amp) then check the wall socket and the power cable.

I am geting a distorted song in my computer speakers

What do you mean more exactly by "sound like if the computer freeze"? If you set wave or master volume on your PC too high, the sound card or the speakers may get overdriven, which results in distorted sound. So you could try lovering the voume in your PC, and set it higher on the speakers. (On the contary, if you set volume in your PC very low, and very high on the speakers, sound will get noisy.)

Logitech z5500 power problem

I replaced the fuse in the subwoofer. Solved the problem, without a hitch. Just take the current one out and bring it to an audio/hifi shop. Ask to buy a similar one.

PS. The fuse might look damaged, but then again, it might not. Have the audio/hifi guy test the current fuse, that way you know if that's the problem.
