Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Slant Fin SP90 furnace will not light. Pilot is on

Hi, If this green light is on a circuit board behind a panel, remove this panel to expose the led light. There will be a chart glued somewhere on the unit or panel telling you what this light is doing, lets say if it is flashing or steady or it flashes 2 times then 4 long flashes, go to the error code chart and it will tell you what is going on with the unit.Try this and get back to me and let me know what is going on please. I can go from there and solve your problem.
PS The flame sensor next to the pilot may be dirty and needs to be cleaned. It is a ceramic rod with a metal tip and the tip should be cleaned with steel wool, not sanding cloth.Try this and see if it fires up. You could have a problem with your thermostat which we will get into next.

SOURCE: Brother MFC 210 C.

I have the same problem and have no idea how to fix it. I tried pressing the menu button, then black start and then up arrow 4x but this just tells me that there is a machine error and doesn't give an error code. There's a bunch of maintenance codes I can type in but I have no idea what will fix the problem. I tried pushing all numbers from 1 to 99 and nothing helped. Anyone know what's wrong?

Slant fin doesnt turn on

In the bottom of the humidifier is a little disk that vibrates to turn water to vapor. This gets covered in mineral deposits and won't vibrate properly. They usually suggest something like vinegar to clean it. I found that this didn't work for me. What did work was cleaning it with my Waterpic on the highest setting. It chipped away the deposits and allowed it to work. HOWEVER, once you get it running again, buy the slant fin mineral absorption pads to keep it running. If you have mineral-rich water like me, you'll go through them quickly, but you also won't have white deposits on your walls anymore.

Will not print

I have the same error message “Check the Troubleshooting and Routine Maintenance Chapter in User's Guide" I called customer service for "BROTHER 1-800-284-4329 USA; 1-877-BROTHER for CANADA. The Tech’s and I performed a series of diagnostic test, via the phone but were unable to solve the problem... Brother seem to believe that I have a defected printer head, Brother referred me to a local authorize service agent for Brother. I do have my User's Guide and there is no additional information that I was able to use to resolve this problem. HOW EVER, I am able to get the machine to print by opening the cover and close it as if I had installed ink, or removed a paper jam “SIMPLY OPEN AND CLOSE THE COVER”. I also vacuumed and blew the insides and the outside buttons of the machine with forced air from my vacuum, after all that I still have the same problem. My a new machine mine is 32 months old and I probably have ran 15k or more print, fax, and copy jobs.
Some times we need to know when to move on, TIME IS MONEY AND TIME WASTED IS UN-REFUNDABLE.

ER3 Message

We had this problem and could not make it go away by refilling, jiggling the float and so on. All the controls appeared frozen during this time.

But unplugging the humidifier for 5 minutes and plugging it back in seems to have fixed it -- no ER3 message now (fingers crossed!0.
