Question about JVC HD-52G787 52" Projection Television
First and foremost if you don't already have a surge protector I suggest investing in one....Sounds to me from what you are stating the Caps blew on the PSB-power supply board or they have one leg in the door. THis is also the beginning signs that the set is going to go into fault protection mode soon. Pic but no sound, sound put no pic... Vice versa.... When it fully fails you be left with NO OSD-on screen display no sound and a blinking fault LED at startup.
Unplugging for a few hours resets the fault. I would also invest in a cap tester. Recaping is cheap and fairly easy to do.
