There is one fuse in fuse panel, then, there is a fuse on the back of the cd deck. You can test power to the cd player wiring with a voltmeter. The red wire is for ignition switch power, the yellow is direct battery power for memory

This unit has no way to access wiring without taking dash apart.I'llget back to ya later, but that sounds logical. Thanks

It wont turn on, how do i tell if its no good or just a fuse?

A blown fuse is more likely. Most cars have two fuses in the vehicle fuse box that can supply power to the stereo, and there's another fuse built into the back of the stereo unit itself. It's not uncommon for one or more of these fuses to blow when the battery is changed.

1991 Miata Help! Won't start, nothing at all on key turn, STILL after battery replacement. Help!

The main fuse blew. Look in your fuse box for a big fuse it should be labeled main or master fuse. Replace this fuse and vehicle should work everything but maybe the starting issues. You have a short somewhere. If the fuse blows again or the car won't start repost the problem

My battery died, i replaced the battery and now the radio is on standby and i am unable to get it to work

Try checking all of the fuses in your vehicle. You should have two fuse boxes, one in the engine compartment and another under the dash or in a kick panel inside the vehicle.

No electric after turning key to start

im working on one of those right now ther are two inline fuses on the batt side, driver side they go to the firewall conector they should have a gray strip around them saying fusible link. test on conector side for 12v of both wires that will tell you if the link is bad sounds like the problem if no power is going inside to your fuse panle fusible links can look good if they havne melted through the insulation and still be bad the other thing is if you do have bad fusible links ther is a reason for it, most likley power to ground eather in chassis harnes or engine harnes being a coachman it could be anywhere

Kenwood KDC-MP438U acts as if there is no power to it,dead nothin

The speaker wires are very sensitive. You need to make sure that they are not grounding out. Once the unit senses this it will shut off. Pull the plug out of the back and start over.

Will not start

bad silonoid on starter
the actual cable on starter is bad even though you replaced the positive battery connector the whole cable could be bad
also your new battery might not be a heat battery example= a battery that cannot handle heat and will die on you this indicates a dead cell in battery
bad alternator not charging battery
bad ignition coil
scorched spark plug wiring
dead cell in battery even though the battery can show good it can still be bad
battery's these days are usually refurbished battery's practically every one recycles batterys so its a chance that you got a bad battery try a jump then while vehicle running disconnect the positive post of battery if vehicle dies its the alternator

i myself had to do a battery swap 4 times before i got a refurbished battery without a dead cell this something that is a pain but once you get a good battery then everything should work
