Question about Akai PT46DL10 46" HDTV-Ready Television
I'm assuming that the bulb remains lit and no other defects are noticed - no weird sounds coming from the back of tv, no funny spots of light on the screen - and the OSD is also missing.
In a DLP projection only 2 things would generate a loss of the image: either the image processor overheats and fails or the connections to the DMD (the part that created the image) are loose. Without proper tools all you can do is to take the back cover off and reseat all wires and connectors. If this doesn't work then you must start testing (at least a good voltmeter is needed) - check the power to the processor and the signal level to the DMD.
