Question about Goldstar Dehumidifiers
The first thing I would check is to see if turning the humdity switch to lower the humidity turns the unit on. Then if that does not work, I would check to see if the bucket is making contact with the switch. It the switch that shuts the dehumidifier off when the bucket get full of water. Sometimes you can hear it click when the bucket hits the full state.
Not sure how technical you are, but if you are familiar with how to use a meter, I would check the bucket switch. I would check to see if the switch changes open/close depending on whether the switch is pressed.
If the switch is good, listen for any kind of hum from the unit. That could mean that the compressor, is unable to start. That could either mean you need a new compressor of a capacitor.
