Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer
See if your "drive motor to transmission coupling" is broken.
Check your motor coupling, it's between the motor and transmission, usually it breaks when the machine gets out of balance. Go to www.repairclinic.com and enter your model number. Then scroll all the way down and click on the red 100 this will bring up 100 parts per page for your washer. This part is located between the motor and the transmission. It's fairly easy to get to. Look at it on the site so you know what to look for. When you have it tilted you can set the timer to spin shut the lid and have a helper turn the washer on at this setting both end of the motor should spin the one end for the pump and the other end should spin the basket only do this long enough to see them spinning if the transmission side doesn't spin the replace the drive motor to transmission coupling.
