Question about D-Link SWT DSL-504T ADSL MODEM with 4 Ethernet Ports (790069265204)

Open Question

I have the D-Link ADSL 504T router. The internet is often go up and down - I often can't access the internet although there is connection. The only solution for that problem I found is to disconnect the router from the power and re-connect it again (sometime there is a need to perform it several times until the internet is reconstructed). What else can be done? Is it router problem and I should replace it? Thanks for the help

SOURCE: D-Link adls modem - interference with telephone

Yea this type of happen with most of DSL users! This is due to weak signal telephone line. You should only have 1 phone and 1 internet connection. You should remove all other telephones in the home. Then it will work fine. If you only have 1 phone then you must call the phone service person who will check that status of your wire. Might be your wire is old so it creates a problem. Then replace it the you'r done.

SOURCE: Modem keeps disconnecting and needs rebooting every time I use it

Yes, this can be a problem with the modem that you have first thing that you need to do here is to reset the modem and reconfigure it back, but if after that still have the same problem better contact your ISP and ask them if everything is working from their end...

Hope that helps...............

SOURCE: The internet connection keeps disappearing.

Change the router's IP address to (192.168.10.1) maybe you have an IP conflict between the modem and router.

SOURCE: The D-Link Modem will not stay connected for

Is your unit old or new? Basically, there could be other factors giving you that intermittent disconnection from the internet. One is your ISP's internet connection that could be intermittently cut, or your browser refresh rate. Check out this two before you can conclude that the router is the problem. First change your browser to Mozilla Firefox. We had experienced the same problem with Google Chrome and IE not too long ago. If all browsers behave the same, then try to ask your ISP regarding your DSL issue.

D-Link DSL-504T driver disc missing, looking for Win 7 compatable driver for modem.

No driver needed since you aren't connecting the pc the the modem, but to the router.
Connect the pc to the D-Link DSL-504T with a LAN cable, access it from a browser by going to this IP - 192.168.0.1 - , in there access the modem settings and configure it accordingly.

Sitecom WL-342 Wireless Router won't access internet.

Hello,

Make sure there is a network cable going from your ADSL modem into the WAN connection of the router.

If the ADSL modem is wireless, then it is also a router in whihc case you will want to bypass the WL-342 all together.

Thanks,

Pat

Remote manage a DSL 504T router

If you have a dynamic IP on your wan port you shall register a domain name and register it with dynamic DNS, provide your dynamic dns name in your DSL router so that you shall connect to your DSL router by calling the registered dynamic dns name from any where (you should have internet connection).

1. Register a name in dyndns.com
2. update this on your dsl router

Wait for some time,

3. access the registered name from anywhere using a browser

DSL-504T Router - not connecting?

Try using the D-Link Click'n Connect Utility.
Admin is the correct code for both the user name and password.
10.1.1.1 is the correct IP address for the setup page.
You may need to reset the router again by holding the reset button in for 30 seconds until the lights flash off then on.
Here is the setup manual:

ftp://files.dlink.com.au/products/DSL-504T-GenII/QuickInstallGuide/DSL-504T_GenII_QIG.pdf

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
