Does it act this way with all discs or with just blue-ray?
You can try using a can of air duster to blow of the laser lens eye. They do get dusty and won't read the disc. Another thing you can do is to remove the cover and clean the glass laser eye with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

Yes, the problem only with Blu-ray discs. Normal DVD's and any data from USB play well. Already cleaned the lens but it didn't help as well.

First thing would be to check your settings. There is a BD option that can mess with the blue-ray capability.
    In the Settings menu

    BD/DVD-->HDMI 1080p 24mhz

This will be set to 'Automatic'...change it to 'Off'

If for some odd reason this didn't work, which it should and usually does, then go back to the other firmware.

Haven't option like this on the settings menu. It's just few different options like resolution and HDMI settings which is:
    Auto 50Hz
    567 24Hz
    .....
    ......
    .....
    1080i
    1080p

Tried everything but situation still the same, when you enter Blu-ray DVD, player make "brrrr" noise and immediately eject the disc with message "ERROR" and "CHECK THE DISC"

I would either go back to the previous firmware or try updating it again. Seems like a lot of devices malfunciton after they've been updated.

How I can back to previous settings or firmware? Couldn't find any options to delete upgrades.

Hello,

firmware update is not the solution to the problem. The fault is actually from the lens (laser). The lens is the cause of the problem. The lens is actually weak such that it cannot play blu-ray disc. Blu-ray discs are stronger that DVD disc. It takes a very strong lens to play/load Blu-ray disc.

You need to get a lens cleaner and use it to cleaner, insert it in the player and allow it clean the lens. If that doesn't solve the problem, then it means you have to replace the lens of your player. The new lens will be extra active to player blue-ray.

In summary, the lens is the reason your player does not play blu-ray disc.

Good luck.

It's a software issue. you need to ring the manufacturer to get files and instructions on how to upgrade your machine so it can play the newer blu ray movies. Quite a common problem.

Remove the disk. Go into the player's setup menu. Disable BD-Live. You may also need to clear the player's memory (maybe called cache, but depends on your manufacturer and model).
Now insert the disk and it should load right away and play normally. This is happening because new disks are trying to use the internet to connect to a server to download new features for the disk (that's BD-Live). This would be cool, except that in some cases it causes this freezing problem where you can't even watch your movie.
Firmware updates don't seem to fix it--at least not yet. So far this seems to be a combination of a coding issue on the disks and perhaps firmware that doesn't know how to deal with the new code. Please post a reply if it works for you.

BLU RAY WONT PLAY ALL DISCS

Your problem is the firmware version. Contact Toshiba Tech Support 1-800-631-3811 they will send you a disk with a firmware update along with special instructions on how to update the unit. I had a similar problem and they send me the firmware version 1.013.

Blue ray player wont play a new disk says it needs

Software updates have to be done on bluray players whenever the technology in bluray discs themselve is changed. If you call the number for 20th century fox on the back of the bluray a representative there will explain to you what has changed technologically in this bluray that has caused there to be software updates for all of the bluray players. I believe LG can send you a disc so that you can update your player. Give them a call. The bluray players are all manufactured and shipped to the stores. In the meantime if an update is needed and its sitting on the shelf at the store until you buy it, even if you've just bought it an hour ago it will still need to be updated. The stores do not unbox the blu ray players and update them for you. However the Geek squad will update bluray players for customers for a fee.
