Left speaker wont emit sound

My left speaker is not working and i checked them in the control panel but it says its working fine but there is no sound coming out of the left speaker. i tried turning it up a little bit to see if what the problem was that since it was low it only uses one side but that didn't work.

It is rare, but very possible for a speaker on the laptop to blow or burnout. I would double check your sound properties to make sure that your Balance is not set to one side. If it is properly set to center, then you probably have a bad speaker.

I just set up my water dancing speakers... one of them doesn't emit any sound. Lights and water work...just no sound. Is this normal?

no it is not normal. Did you plug in the 3.5 mm plug into the headphone or speaker out port ? The Usb cable just powers the speakers. Check computer has both left and right speakers volume set correctly . Check the speaker icon right click on it . Check
Mixer and volume control .

My turtle beach headset works just fine on my ipod but when i plug it in the xbox the left speaker dosent emit sound

If it works with the Ipod the headphone are all right. You might be having some socket loose contact on your Xbox.

I have no sounds on my pc?

Have you checked to see if you accidentally muted your speakers?

If that is the case then you can go to Start-Control Panel-Sound and see if the speakers are muted.

Did you have any external speakers connected to it?

If you said yes then they may be unplugged or turned off, or they may have died and you could always go back to making your pc the default speaker.

Go back to the control panel and click sound, here you can disable your external speakers to see if your pc can emit sound.

If that does not work then you may have to reinstall the driver for your sound card or see if your computer even sees your sound card.

Need program to make speaker work

Windows has a built in sound command )go to control panel and pick sound.
press play to emit a sound.
Your speakers need to be connected to the headset set output on the computer, but may not be powerful enough to drive the speakers on their own. In this case they need an amplifier.

I've tried three different sets of speakers and each time the left speaker will not work. I've also tried plugging in my headphones and my left headphone wont work. I've checked all the volume controls and...

Well the jack you plug in has three surfaces. So when you pulled it part way out then the left speaker part of the plug came in contact with the right speaker contact inside the jack and it worked. Speakers are good so if you have checked your volume control in Windows and checked that the balance control is centered it could be that your sound card is defective. You didn't tell me what kind of computer you have and if the sound card is built into the motherboard or if it is an add on card. I don't know if you only have the Window's sound control in Control Panel or if your card has a seperate software for configuring your card but I think the only thing that might disable the left speaker has to be the balance control in Window's sound control or the seperate software.

Surround sound speaker outlets are not working

Might be a loose connection problem. A contact cleaner is handy in cleaning the terminals. Try to swap the speaker connections if you don't have a multi-tester to check the resistance of the speakers. If the right front speaker will sound after connecting it to the left front speaker output, then it is a speaker coil problem. If not, might be an amplifier channel problem.

Both rear speakers on my z540 system play only the left side rear

Hmmm, this sounds like either a driver issue, or a card/compatibility issue. you might try reverting to old drivers(last resort), making shure you have 4.1 enabled in sound control pannel(do this first), triple checking connections/connectors on both the speakers and the card(remember, you only have 5 speakers, not 8) and if you have the headphone-type phone plug for your speakers, you might try making shure that they are compatible with the jacks on your card, although, I would have to know more about your setup to be completely shure.

Left Speaker Problem

Sounds like the left channel in the built-in amplifier went out or possibly damage in the connector or cabling. Quick test to eliminate the PC is to connect another set of working speakers or headphones into the PC speaker jack without making any changes. If it works w/o problems then it?s the speakers. You can try plugging the speakers back into your PC and while playing something start wiggling the left channel cables and the main cable that goes into the PC. In particular pay attention to stress points like connectors. If that turns up nothing and you have the appropriate tools and skills you can open the speakers up and test out the solder points for the cables as well. As always make sure your warranty has expired completely before you open them up or start cutting away. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this post.

Right Speaker Hit the Floor

Im sorry to say so, but the fact that speaker can still monitor volume has nothing to do with its disability to produce sound. Im not a speaker wiz, but I can think of two possible reasons for what happened: 1. something has broken inside the speaker. in this case you will have to get it fixed\replaced. 2. some disconnection accured from the hit, a wire got teared or loosed. in this case, you might get lucky. open the speaker, and search for any torn wires. if you are handy you may be able to weld, replace, etc.
