Question about Weber Genesis E-310 Gas Grill

1 Answer

I have a relatively new genesis 310 (about 6 months old). recenlty, on two occasions, there is no gas flow when i try to light (i've replaced gas tank, so i know that tank is full and still no flow). is there any known problem that would cause no gas flow wwhen the gas tank valve and burner(s) are tuned on?

Weber Spirit one month old...went out, changed tank, won't light

The regulator that comes with Weber grills shuts the gas flow off if it detects the slightest leak. Disconnect the tank an reconnect. Check connections with soapy water for any leaks. Another problem, though uncommon for a new grill is a defective regulator. You have a 1 year warrenty on your grill so contact Weber if you continue to have problems.

Genesis s310 stainless grill. Does not fully light.

Regulator is not bad, as I stated before new valves are designed to reduce gas flow if valve is opened to fast. This is so if grill catches on fire, the tank will shut itself off, thus propane will stop flowing causing fire to extinguish itself.

Flame is low

try opening the tanks slower so the overfill protection device in the tank won't kick in and restrict the gas flow.
