The fan motor getting extremely hot is an almost sure sign of a bad fan motor.
Check Capacitor
if not then you most likely will have to replace the fan motor.
Let a service man decide if your not sure

I have a goodman cpe30-1ab we set it to cool the out side pump and fan run about 5min and shut down the power relay starts to buzz and the fan moter gets hot real hot. all three wires to the fan have 110...

This could be several things. First turn of the power and make sure the fan turns freely using a screwdriver or something else that you can reach the blades with. If they do not turn easily you may need a new fan motor. If the fan stops, head pressure on the compressor will go up until it trips the High Pressure switch. It will also make the fan work harder so that it gets extremely hot just as you describe. Let me know what you find and we can go from there.

My maytag air conditioner turns on you hear the motor but no cold air and the fan does not blow

Shut the power off to the unit, spin the fan blade to see if it spins freely. If it doesn't spin freely, (there appears to be a little drag when you spin it),the bearings are bad, if it does spin freely, then try moving the motor shaft from side to side if there’s any play in the shaft side to side then the bearings are worn and motor needs replaced. Then, check the capacitor, if it’s bulging even slightly, the capacitor is bad and needs replaced. Most of the time people replace the capacitor if motor seems ok. If capacitor is ok, turn power on to see if the motor is getting the proper voltage, if it is and not trying to run, then the windings are probably open, the motor's bad and needs replaced.

A/c is drawing 20 amps and keeps tripping breaker after running

If the fan is running and the compressor is getting hot and tripping off you may have a failed capacitor.

Well when i turn on a/c condensingcome on and

is your indoor fan motor noisy? Right after it shuts off feel if it is extremely warm (carefull, may burn you if you leave your hand on too long). If it excessively hot, the motor is tripping on overloads located in the motor itself, probably the bearings are dragging. Check to see if it spins freely when spun by hand. If not replace motor. Make sure power is off while putting your hands in or around the fan

The fan motor is getting hot and going off on the internal overload in the motor.
This is caused by either a low voltage, a bad capacitor, or tight or dry bearings in the motor.
To check the bearings turn the power off to the unit, then spin the fan blade if it spins freely then the bearings are ok.
To check the capacitor you will need some kind of
tester or you can buy a capacitor and replace it, that's what a lot of people do. They usually don't cost very much.
To check the voltage you will need a voltmeter and measure the volts at the unit.

Fan Error on a Dell 3200MP. Shuts off after about 2 minutes because fan is not functioning.

This is a safety feature because the lamps can get extremely hot and cause a fire. Look behind the set and make sure that the grill that covers the fan is clear. Vacuum the fan area and with the set unplugged, move the fan with your fingers to make sure that it spins freely. If it does not, it is time to replace it. There are sensors that will detect air movement as well as the fan spinning. If either sensor detects a problem, the set will be prevented from starting.

Hope this helps,
Dan
