My samsung lcd is doing the same thing, and I have been told that the power supply is bad. But apparently samsung won'r sell you one.

if it's making a loud vibrating sound it's due to the color wheel shattering. easy to replace sits on top of light engine.

Over time TVs can dry out and then stop working. Switch it on and pour some water in the pack. About 2 pints should do the trick. You'll be back watching 100 channels of diarrhoea in no time.

Most likely it has some bad capacitors in the power supply. Flat--panel sets are VERY hard on capacitors, due to the fact that the "rising heat' from the set "cooks" the caps and they fail VERY early.

In this case, I believe it is the power supply board; more specifically the capacitors are failing. When you have the clicking problem and the long boot up times this has generally been the issue.
When you have video display problems such as shadows and lines that go away after warming up it is usually the LVDS cable and T CONN board going bad.
I had the shadow and line problem and replaced both the cable and board for $120 and that fixed my problem. Since I had the TV apart, I went ahead and replaced the capacitors so I wouldn't run into that later. You can find the parts numbers for the LNT4661F cable and board below. You can find links to you tube ( Part 1 & 2) to show how to replace the capacitors. Good luck.
