Question about Canon imageRUNNER 210S Copier

2 Answers

We have a Canon ImageRunner 210s copier with two problems. 1. We're getting a small black mark every few inches at the bottom of each copy, almost like the look of a thumbprint or roller that is printing a black mark. 2. Also seems like the copier is copying the edge of the glass plate on top. When we move the glass plate over, the mark goes away.

Hi

The small black mark that appears while you print any document is due to roller issue. The roller/s are dirty and to resolve the issue you'll need to clean them. However, it may be due to Pick-up Rollers or due to Registration Roller. You'll need to open up the printer and clean the rollers. Use a soft cloth dampened with alcohol. And, the second issue might be happening due to high contrast set in the copying options. Try reducing the contrast. However, if it doesn't help then use a white paper and cut the strip and paste it along the edges.

Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Cannon ImageRunner 210S - When I try to make more than one copy the copier makes one copy in regular mode and then for the second copy it goes to the far side to make a copy like you are copying a book...

Sounds as though the black lens cover is not secured correctly. When the scanner moves across to make a scan its hitting the cover. Take the copyboard glass off and try physically to move the scanner to the right to see if it hits any thing. You may have to remove the cover and then look to see how its supposed to be secured. It should lay flat on the reader shelf and be secured with I think 4 screws. It's been a long time since I've work on one of these copiers. Hope this helps you.

Enter copies into the feeder (Canon 210S). It

This is one of the worest designed feeder from Canon. Have you had the feeder rebuilt recently? If not that will improve it greatly. I would also, go into the user settings and turn the fax exit to recurite late doc. As I said, it is a bear to take this feeder apart if you have not done it before... Good Luck

Have you replaced the drum unit resently? When you had the drum unit out did you see the lines on the drum it self? If so, you need a new drum... If you did not see lines on it the problem may be coming from the fixing film, most of the time if the film is bad you can rub the toner off the page... Good Luck...

Photo copy comes out like tire marks are on it

Power the unit down. Let it cool for at least an hour. Remove toner carts, using a soft cloth and q-tip clean toner surfaces. follow warning stickers on unit. Examine cart/drum rollers for wear and baked on toner. Reassemble and clean platen glass and scan bed area with water or non-alcohol cleaner and soft cloth.

Printing on Imagerunner 210s

depends on which additional function you are trying to do.
You have it as a copier only right now, you can add
duplexer for two sided copies
network for your computer to fax and print and scan
document feeder to put copies on top and feed automatically

There are a lot of options you need to decide which function you are willing to pay for.

Good luck
