You can try to heat the connection with a hair dryer or more preferably a heat gun which will loosen the glue. If pipe solvent was used you will have no chose but to cut the connection and glue a new connection on since the pipe solvent melts the two pieces of pipe to fuse them together.

There is no way to loosen this pipe if it has been glued. You only option is to cut the pipe and either add a section back to it, cut it and put a coupling in.

How to stop drain pipe from leaking on a 2014 shower 1985 lancr travel trailer

Is it leaking at a glued connection or a jam nut connection? If at the jam nut connection you may need to replace the jam nut washer to get a good seal. If it is a glued connection. You may get luck and reseal the connection by swabbing some ABS glue over the leaking area. ABS glue is thick black glue and may be found at your local RV dealership.

One of the grinder broke inside the unit, is this a replaceable part?

If disposal has loose parts inside, you have to replace the disposal.
If disposal still work and doesn't vibrate and loosen pipes under sink, then it's ok.
The don't sell replacement parts for disposals.

I wrote tips for replacing disposals:

When I worked apartment maintenance, we replaced disposal with same brand disposal.
That way we didn't have to change out sink basket or move pipes around under the sink.
How to: Disconnect 2 nuts on p-trap and trap falls loose.
Rotate steel connector disk that holds disposal to sink basket, and disposal comes off.
Before installing new disposal.
Attach electric wire to new disposal.
Attach dishwasher tube to new disposal. Knock out plug inside dishwasher opening.
Push new disposal up into place, and attach to old sink basket.
Use new connector washer.
Attachment ring catches at three points, all three have to connect.
Re-assemble tubular pipe.

If this is your home, you want new sink basket that comes with new disposal because it looks shiny and new.
Buy a tub of plumbers putty also.
Remove old sink basket and clean sink opening.
Put finger-size roll of plumbers putty around sink opening, and then push new strainer basket into plumbers putty.
Tighten basket from below, wipe away excess putty around sink opening.
Install new disposal as described above.

Tips for tubular pipes:
When taking apart tubular pipes, start at p-trap and take apart as few pieces as needed to do job.
On image above, loosen both upper and lower nuts, trap falls loose, and then work on disposal.
Any tubular drain pipe that gets moved while working under sink needs to be disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled.
Metal pipes have rubber washer >> always use new rubber washers.
Plastic pipes have plastic washers > plastic washers can be cleaned and re-used.
Plastic washers have flat side that goes toward nut, tapered side away from nut.

When reassembling tubular pipe, we use rectorseal on washers and joints.
Slap a good amount on washer just before pushing washer in place and attaching nut.
Rectorseal will ensure tubular drain pipes won't leak.

Garbage Disposal is about 2-1/2 years old It is now no longer grinding up potato peels and clog every time! HELP--do we need a new one!!!

1/2 horsepower is the lighter weight model, and if you use it heavily, then it will not work like before.
Another thing to consider is whether the water is draining away completely while you're cutting.
If water and potato peels are both present, your p-trap and tubular drain may need to be cleaned.

Let's go through the whole thing: replacement, p-trap, tubular pipes, everything.

When I worked apartment maintenance, we replaced disposal with same brand disposal.
That way we didn't have to change out sink basket or move pipes around.
How to replace disposal body: Disconnect both nuts on p-trap. Remove p-trap and loosen tailpiece going into disposal.
Rotate connector disk clockwise that holds disposal to sink basket.
Before installing new disposal.
Attach electric wire to new disposal.
Attach dishwasher tube to new disposal. Knock out plug inside dishwasher opening.
Push new disposal up into place, and attach to old sink basket with new connector disk.
Use new connector washer.
Re-assemble tubular pipe.

While using our garbage disposal this afternoon, it went from grinding to humming. The blades do move freely, but the plate is very loose and tips. Is it possible to tighten the plate?

There is no way to tighten plate that I know of.
Maybe a clever welder could stick it back together, but the problem implies something underneath is rusted out or broken. The main thing is the cutter plate, and if disposal wobbles, it will loosen drain pipes under sink and cause dripping.

I wrote some tips for installing new disposal, and include them here since disposal will be replaced at some point.

My daughter pushed down on the plug & now it doesnt pop up!! lever at back doesnt work as the suction is so good!

drain assembly can be taken apart from under the lav. first loosen the stopper lever assembly. then proceed to loosening up the slip-nut on piping nearest to the drain. The drain is held to bottom of sink by a nut tightened to a thick rubber washer. Remove nut and remove drain. Dislodge stopper. Replace drain with fresh plumbers putty, underneath lip of drain where it makes contact with inside of lav. Reassemble drain piping and lever.

How do i get the collars of a ''y'' over the cut ends of the existing sewer pipe where I need to install the ''y''? I'll dig down 24'' to the existing sewer pipe but I don't think it will move or flex...

glue in a 12" piece of pipe into each end of the pipe (not the vertical).....take that total measurement and cut the existing line enough to allow it to go inbetween.......get two "no hub" or "hubless couplers......glue everything up......slide the couplers on the existing pipe....position the wye/pipe.....slide couplers over. That will have to be done in a very fast manner.
The other option is getting rubber couplers as you don't have to worry about the glue going off.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Drilled a small hole in a pipe while instilling a new basin

Depends what type pipe. If a drain or vent in pllastic, you can probably patch by gluing a patch made by cutting a piece of a coupling and using ABS glue.

If it is a pressure line, the only cure is to cut the damaged section and put in a spice. Almost any patch attempted will fail.
