Hi
Hello

If the remote control does not operate properly, the batteries might be weak. Do not mix different type of batteries together. Preferably use Alkaline Batteries for maximum performance.

Under normal conditions, batteries will last up to six months.

If the electrolyte inside the battery compartment should leak, wipe the contaminated area of the battery compartment with a dry cloth and replace the old batteries with new ones. To prevent the electrolyte from leaking, remove the batteries when you plan not to use the remote control for a long period of time.

I have a GE remote control universal remote and it is number 24922cl57252 and I want to pair that with my air conditioner which is a solace air portable air conditioner and heater how do I do it

Here are the steps to program your GE universal remote (model number 24922cl57252) to work with your Solace Air portable air conditioner:
  1. Turn on your Solace Air portable air conditioner.
  2. Press and hold the "Setup" button on your GE universal remote until the red indicator light stays on.
  3. Enter the code "991" using the number buttons on your GE remote. The red indicator light will turn off.
  4. Press the "Power" button on the GE remote.
  5. Press the "Up" or "Down" button to try and turn the air conditioner off. If the air conditioner turns off, press the "Setup" button to lock in the code.

This is not a split system a/c unit guys. Look at the picture. The blinking light means the air filter may need cleaning. Reset power to turn it off.

On our a/c the remote button was stuck, not allowing any others either on the remote or the unit itself to work. Once my wife discovered which one was stuck, every button started working again.

Air conditioning unit is not responding to the remote

If you can't change the settings manually, then the control pad is bad. If you can and the remote won't change the temp or mode then the remote is bad and will need to be replaced.

Dometic control comfort control will not turn heat on or off

I had the same problem. I fixed it by turning off the battery switch to disconnect the battery from the power panel. I then had to turn off the main 110 breakers to shut down the converter. Once all the power was turned off the LED light went off. When I turned the power back on the remote was working fine. Hope this works for you.
