Plz check in device manger the sound driver is installed or not, if there is yellow question or explanation mark then you have to reinstall the driver for the sound, if there is no mark in the device manger then check the volume controller if it is muted. post back if required

Static sound builds up in the sub pops, then no sound comes from it. The sound comes back once I reconnect the power source and fiddle with the power plug. The problem then repeats.

Look for a wire strand or solder splash on any circuit boards or connections that might be 'almost' shorting out anything. Next, if there are any metal screws with very pointy tips (like sheet metal screws) that might be just a smidge too long and clip the very tip off so that it can't possibly short a frame to a component.

The idea is to find any reason why electricity might be bleeding over into another area of a circuit board that uses capacitors where a charge could build up causing the symptom you are describing.

I've lost sound in one speaker

Check the wire for frays, missing insulation, broken area, loose fitting, etc. It sounds like there is something that is not making a proper connection. "Fiddling" makes it better leads me to believe that a bent area, frayed wire or such has it not making a full connection. You may need to replace the wire to that speaker in order to correct the problem. If the unit is still in warranty I'd suggest contacting a Logitech repair center for this. If it is not then you can do this yourself if you are comfortable working with a soldering iron. Just make sure you use properly rated speaker wire and connect the wires properly. Hope this helps.

Stopped working

Sorry I don't have a solution, but the speakers have done the same with us. Power comes on, some sound like the wire shorting out, but otherwise no sound. Tried different connection wires, different computers (mac and pc) but no go on any of them. So, I also don't think it has anything to do with you deleting some files.
