Hi I'm Rain ,
Ok follow these instructions to reboot your CD Rom drive.
- click start then My Computer .
- In My Computer right click the DVD/CD rom drive icon .
- In the list , Click eject to see if the drive is being reconized .
- If nothing happens repeat steps 1-2
Now when you get to
sep 3 you will click properties .
5. In properties click Hardware .
6. In Hardware click the DVD/CD device to highlight it .
7. Click properties .
Now look to the bottom of that window to see device status .
If it says , this device is working properly .Properties .
Next click
Driver . In driver you will see a list of option tabs that allows you to ,
Roll Back driver
Update driver and
Disable driver .
The other option is
Driver Details.
Click Roll Back driver to restore the driver back to the state before you added the latest program . Click ok and follow the screen instructions.
If this fails , you can follow these steps to get back to
Driver and chose
Disable Driver . Click ok if another window pops up.
Now what you are doing is rebooting the DVD/CD rom drive.
This will restart all the drivers that are associated with the DVD/CD rom
device .
Now follow all the steps again to get back to
Driver .
Now in
Driver you will need to click
Enable to restart the DVD/CD rom
device . Reboot your system and try the DVD/ CD tray to see if it responds . If it still fails to respond you most likely will need to replace or service the DVD/CD Rom Hardware { the Tray } .
