Connect his ipod to your computer and to itunes. Transfer the music from his ipod into your itunes.

If that doesn't work than open the file folder that contains your itunes library. Then in a second window open up his ipod from the drive it is connected to. Copy and paste.

Connect your iPod to the same computer you ORIGINALLY connected it to the first day you got it and connected it to that computer. Once your iPod is connected, open iTunes. As soon as it opens; you'll be unlocked

The screen of the ipod shows a usb cord and an arrow pointing to the itunes icon. when i plug the ipod up to my computer, it is not recognized.

It sounds like you either reset your iPod to factory settings, OR you just bought a new iPod! Either way your iPod is telling you to connect it to a computer with iTunes on it.
Step 1: Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download iTunes.
Step 2: After it is done downloading, install iTunes by double clicking the file you just downloaded. When a screen pops up with a button labeled "Next", continue clicking it until you reach the "Finish" button.
Step 3: iTunes should automatically open up, if not, open it from your Start menu, or desktop.
Step 4: Connect your iPod. After a few minutes, iTunes will prompt you with a Welcome Screen with a picture of an iPod, follow the on screen directions and you will be able to use your iPod.

My iphone is not turning on. It is jail broken the problem is whenever the iphone goes off i have to jailbreak it each time. Now also i have dome the samething but its not working. Its not turning on.

Try to reboot the iPod, just in case it has crashed
  1. Hold the top button and the home button for about ten seconds.
  2. A bug can stop the screen from displaying, sometimes you can reverse the problem by doing the reboot. If you still see nothing on the screen, try to plug the iPhone in to the computer and try the reboot method again.
If you are still unsuccessful in turning on the iPod, but the iPod shows up in iTunes, try restoring from iTunes to fix any bugs causing the issue
  1. Plug the iPod in to your PC, go into iTunes and click the iPod's icon on the left side of the screen.
  2. In the iPod Summary Screen, click on the restore button and agree to the prompt asking if you really want to restore the iPhone's software.
If you are still unsuccessful in turning on the iPod, but the iPod doesn't show up in iTunes, try putting the iPod into recovery mode
  1. You can put the iPod into recovery mode if it has a charged battery.
  2. Start by holding down the home button before connecting it to iTunes, then continue to hold the button until iTunes recognizes that the iPod's in recovery mode.
  3. Recovery mode allows you to perform a restore when you're when an iPod fails to turn on or display anything on the screen.

My ipod touch is not being recognised as a device on screen and is locked just showing me the connect to itunes on the screen what do I do it was working perfectly well today and I have downloaded the...

your ipod may have just crashed for an unknown reason, but the only solution to this problem is to follow what the ipod says on the screen in order to gain access to your ipod again.

Note: you will loose anything, itunes will erase all contents from the ipod.

Open Itunes and connect the ipod touch to your computer, itunes will atomically recognize the ipod like it always does and will download system software from apple and restore your ipod. this process will take a little bit longer but wait till it finishes.
after restoring your ipod, you can configure your ipd like you did the first time.

8GB iPod Touch Disabled

you will have to restore your ipod to factory default settings in itunes.
or you can jailbreak the ipod with software like quickpwn.

Here is how to restore your ipod in itunes.
You will need to put the itouch in DFU/Recovery mode to get it to connect.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.
Restore it and Your all set.

if you need any further help let me know.
Good Luck

I have lost my instructions and don't know how to set my ipod up and it says to use itunes but i don't know how can you help?

Hey :), id be happy to help. First before you begin you must install Itunes on your Mac or Pc, To do this you must go to this link to get the installer for Itunes
http://www.apple.com/itunes/overview/

Ok, once you have installed Itunes on your computer ( and its up and running ), you must  now plug in you Ipod to your computer ( with the usb cord that came with your Ipod ). Now once  you have your Ipod plugged in and you have Itunes opened , your Ipod will show up in the side bar of Itunes and a window will pop up asking for info like, what would you like to call your Ipod and etc. . Now after its done with setting up your Ipod, Itunes will automatically sync ( send ) the  music/videos and etc, you have in your Itunes library to your Ipod. The syncing process will occur every time you plug your ipod into your computer. Oh and to add music to your library through CD's just stick a CD inside your computer and open Itunes and the CD with show up in the side bar and on the side of the screen select rip ( ripping a CD will send the songs to your Itunes library ) . Thanks! and I really hope this helps, and Id appreciate it if you rated my solution
