You might need to program the frequency, code (interference eliminator) and QT filter (if any) to match one another. We are posting a link to the user guide below. The best choice for simple operation is to set the code and Qt filter settings to off (zero). This will allow you to have basic operation before adding in any special features.

You might want to look on the Radio Shack site to see if there is a possible reset for this unit and or the owner manual, Having been there myself from time to time sometimes there are bulletins for certain problems as well.

I have broken the six AA batteries holder for my Radio Shack PRO-60 scanner, where can I buy a replacement?

Any Radio Shack store should be able to order one for you Before you go that route though, check eBay. The battery holders come in several shapes, but you might find one that will work for you - at a bargain price.

I have an older model Motorola sport 10X radio that has two pin connection. I tried several of the Motorola two pin accessories but the pins are too far apart. Are there any adapters available?

You might try contacting the people at http://www.wirelesspro.com/. They seem to have a variety of accessories for the Motorola Spirit and TalkAbout line of radios. The Sport 10X was a predecessor to the TalkAbout Distance DPS.

Otherwise, you might check with your local Radio Shack. It is possible they might have a 1-pin device which might work with the Sport 10X. On some audio devices the second pin is only for stability. The main thing which would make a difference is size, length and placement of rings.

Best regards.

Will the pro 97 receive Motorola Project 25 Phase (FDMA)?

NO. Sorry, but the PRO-97 is an analog trunking scanner, and it is not capable of receiving any digital signals. For more information on this scanner, you can download and print the factory manual, at no cost, here:

Is this triple trunking?

The PRO-94 is a Dual-Trunking scanner, meaning that it will receive both Motorola and GE/Ericsson EDACS systems.

Need the manual for the PRO-94? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

Reprograming the pro 95 to get the 850.000 band

The linked article below indicates that the PRO-95 and other non-digital Radio Shack scanners are not capable of rebanding to provide coverage of the revised Motorola systems. For more information you should contact your local Radio Shack store.

Radio Shack PRO-96 What mode do I use for scanning==866.600 to 868.450 range and 44.82 to 155.175. The choices are== AM Mode (AM) FM/Digital (FM) CTCSS Mode (CT) DCS Mode (Dc) Motorola/APCO-25 Trunking...

You more than likely want the FM mode. If you are listening to a trunked agency then you will have to know if they are on the MOT, or EDACS system and choose the correct one.
