You have to set it as a default, by using your memory card to receive and save to the memory card. When you have saved one on it,you use your memory card as default. That means you will enable it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

E71 set memory card as default storage for Application Download

That is not how it work. Once you DL the app you can them move it to the SD card only if the application allows it. The Application Manager is what you use to move apps to the SD card. Google apps won't but Pandora and other will.

Set memory card my default storage in nokia 5233

hey i got the best solution....You can make the memory card default but when you receive some file from bluetooth it stores in messages.
so you can change message memory to memory card so it means your saving your bluetooth data directly to memory card.
here is the settings...

Go to men menu...then Settings -> Phone -> Application sett. -> messaging -> Other ->memory in use ( change it to your memory card)

If u like my solution add me on facebook... dinesh@hitech.net.in

Using samsung s3500 mobile..when i open application-games and more on it, it will automatically restarted..also unable to open memory card..it show "unable to root a default folder"... any...

Probably, when a memory card is damage or corrupted, the phone fails to read the card and its content. The games and application installed on your memory card might be the problem thats why you phone restart.

Here's the Solution :

* Reset your phone by typing this code on your homescreen *2767*3855# ,this method will restore settings into default as well as easing all contents including contacts, messages etc. So before doing this thing,be sure to back up all important data first.

* Format your memory card on pc or in your phone and try to load another games and applications.

Remember that all file you download should be placed in memory card and not on the phone memory.

Hope this solution helps...thanks

I cant save files direct to sd memory all data is going to phone memory direct..how to activate sd memory as my default memory in E5 nokia mobile?

1. To save files received from bluetooth on sd card: Open messaging. Go to settings. Scroll to the end and select other settings. Change the default memory to Memory card. It will ask to copy or move the messages and file from phone memory to sd card. Select move to memory card.
Now all files will go to sd memory card.
2. To save all applications to sd card, open ovi store, go to settings, change installation preference from phone memory to sd card

How to install games and softeare directly in the memory card of samsung mobile chat3222 ..... pls some one advice...i had tried many ways but stilll showing memory low as it has only 4000kb phone memory...

it shows memory low because your default setting is not your memory card but your phone.. switch that to memory card. just go to your settings and look up for the default memory setting and choose memory card instead of phone memory.

reply to me asap if you got this right.

I am continually getting a low storage message in the corner of my phone even though I have deleted apps. It contiues to pop up.

Check the games you have installed on your phone. Some games use up a LOT of your phone's internal memory and some have the option to save most of the data on your SD card instead of the phone's internal. Go to settings > applications > manage applications to see which ones are using the most. I would try to delete some of the games then check the internal afterwards.
If that doesnt work you could always do a full wipe of the phone's memory (wont delete the SD card memory) by going to Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset.

Hello,

SOLUTION TO RECEIVING FILES ON YOUR MEMORY CARD.
You cannot receive files on your memory card directly.

You are to receive it on your phones memory, then you move it to you memory card.

You ensure your phones memory is totally empty so you can receive your incoming files.

SOLUTION TO SEEING YOUR MAIL SENT
Go to messages,
select the message settings,
select the message sending option,
Select save and send.

once this is done, you will be able to view your sent mails in your outbox.

Take care

Problem with Bluetooth Transfer

There is one easy solution for the second question: You can set your SGH-L700 to store your photos and/or videos on your memory card. Just go to Settings -> Application Settings -> Camera Settings. Go to the rightmost section using arrow keys and change camera's default storing location as memory card, instead of phone.

The bluetooth problem is not that easy. There is one solution if you send the files from your PC. Just browse your "Bluetooth Devices" from your desktop - your SGH-L700 will appear as an independent device. Double click it's icon, you'll see the folders in it, just like you're browsing your computer's hard drive. Open "Memory Card" folder then drag and drop the files you want directly inside it. I almost always prefer this way when I use bluetooth transfer.

If you try right clicking on a file on your PC and choose "Send via Bluetooth" from the context menu, SGH-L700 receives it directly to the phone memory. So I recommend using "Bluetooth devices" option and placing the stuff directly in the memory card, just like you copy items in any place on your hard drive.

But there is not a standart solution for sending a file from another cell phone to SGH-L700. Some devices can browse SGH-L700's folders like your PC does, but some of them can't - and they just send the files to the phone memory.

HOW TO SAVE MSG IN MEMORY CARD IN Z550I

In SE Z550i there is no option to move text messages from phone memory to external memory card. The phone comes with 20MBs of onboard memory which is shared by phone's functionalities such as calnder, to do lists, phonebook/contacts, messaging, installed games and applications, etc. The problem that you've mentioned above can occur when you store/install other files such .mp3, photos, games and applications, etc. on your phone's memory instead of the external memory stick. Please check if there are any mp3s, photos, etc. stored on your phone memory and move them to the memory card. In future, try to keep the phone memory as free as possible from mp3s, photos, etc. and please do not install too much of games and applications in the phone memory, instead install them on the external memory. If you have already installed many games and applications in your phone please check if they are installed on your phone memory and if they are please move them to the memory card.
Have a great day!
