Date: 27 Apr 2008 Company:Bissell,, Situation: Purchase The Billell Allrounder First day it burned out leaving graphite all over the house Include basic facts (where relevant) such as date, 24-April-2008 location, Perth Western Australia time of day, 1500 hours name of the person you dealt with, etc. Bissell What made you think of this comment? We exchanged the appliance with the retailer and the second Bissell Allrounder gave us the same bad experience What would you suggest the business do? Do not have the Appliances made in China Anything further? The motor of the Bissell is of extremely bad quality and creates more damage to the home than clean the floors.

Dyson v6: It looks like it stopped charging.


If it's only 2 weeks old, you could have a defective either charging system or just a bad battery. Most places offer free replacement within 30 days of purchase. I would take it back to your place of original purchase. I hope that helps!

Bissell quickwash 1970E for carpets/hard floors won't come on


If the burning smell was like rubber burning it is probably the belt. If you only used it a few times I suggest bringing it back to place of purchase. A belt should not go after just a few times of use. Besides if anything is burning after just a few uses I would return it.

Bissell won't start


no reset (self resetting motor) Pull the plu,g leave it off for a day, plug it in a try it again tomorrow. If it doesn't work, the motor is gone

You also need to make sur ethat you get the vacuum back together correctly, some vacums put a swithc in there so that you can't hurt yourself while performing this repair

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
I would advise you to try to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages to see if they have a new or slightly used plastic dome for your Bissell
-- The used one would be less expensive but if you cannot find a good used or new plastic dome – please feel free to call the Bissell factory listed @ the bottom of the page. Make sure you give them the Brand name (Bissell) and the Model #

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Most of the Bissell 1698 Power Steamer ProHeat Upright have a water holding tank and a dirty water recovery and a trigger assm to release the water and the scrubbing brushes underneath that do the scrubbing and some of the scrubbers heat the water so that it is hot when it goes down to promote better cleaning, other than that you should check the owners manual for the steps on how to use or contact the cust service dept @ Bissell and have them walk you through the steps that I have listed below: So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
