Hi, laptops do get hot due to there design, saying that it is important they are used on a flat hard surface so air can ciculate around. Also check and clean the air vents as dust can clog these up.

It sounds like it is in the correct temperature range. You may ned to adjust the temperature to a lower setting.

I got my 2010 ultra classic hot the other day it's not run right since what could be wrong

Hi, Curtis much better, now I understand more clearly your first question and the usual suspects are:
1. Insufficient oil supply, or oil not circulating properly.
2. Insufficient air flows over the engine, lower fairings, accessory lights, wind deflectors etc.
3. Heavy carbon deposits in the combustion chamber.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, and/or CMP sensors.
5. Faulty AES valve or servo.
6.. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
7. Intake manifold or throttle body seals leaking at cylinder head
8. Normal oil temperature 180-230 degrees F
You may want to consider installing an oil cooler if it does not already have one also switching to a Synthetic blend motorcycle oil will help it run cooler Harley has their brand called "Syn 3" for more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please visit the websites below, and for specific information or questions, at no charge, please feel free to contact me at Good luck and have nice a day.

Bosch classixx dishwasher not heating water on cooler wash works on hot wash

Most dishwashers don't heat the water. They run on whatever temperature water you have it set for. They have heating coils on the bottom but that's for drying, not heating up the wash water.

My sony vaio vgn nw250f is overheating, cpu is getting so hot after I switch it on and one minute after it switches off but before it freezes. I have cleaned fan ,replaced thermal compound but after 6...

6 months is about right for the fan to become clogged and need re-cleaning. You could try the basics, which is:
1) Don't operate the laptop on your lap.
2) Ensure the vents are kept clear at all times
3) From time to time, simply blow into the vent holes to dislodge any dust.
4) If you can, use a laptop cooler to keep the temperature down in the laptop.

Sorry, I know overheating laptops are a pain, but it sounds like you are already doing as much as you can to reduce/stop/fix this.

I have a sullair ls - 120 we have been having problems with it getting hot and shuting off oil levels have been fine we have tryed different oil types we have took apart the unloader valve cleaned it and...

Get yourself a temperature gun and check a couple things:
1) Measure the oil injection temperature to the airend. This is a line going into the bottom side of the airend. 2) Measure the discharge temperature from the airend (this should be the same reading as the temperature gauge/readout on the compressor, but check to be sure)
You should get a temperature rise of about 25-30 degrees F over the airend. If you have more rise, you probably have an oil restriction: try an oil filter change.
If your oil injection temp is more than 160 degrees F or so, check the operation of the thermostatic valve. The thermo valve is a T shaped valve in the oil circuit. The oil line out of the bottom of the sump probably goes to a tee which splits flow to the cooler and the thermo valve. The oil goes through the cooler then to the other side of the thermo valve. The thermo valve should then mix the hot oil from the sump and the cool oil from the cooler to maintain the injection temp in the 150-160 degree range.
If you have cool oil coming from the cooler (should be maybe 140 F or less, and the injection temp is high, the thermo valve is bad. You can get a thermostat kit from your vendor to repair. If you've replaced the cooler, this thermo valve is probably the problem.

Laptop is running extremely hot,. This is even with only one application ( Browser) running. Laptop can start running hot after about 25 min of use

I think the fan/cooler that is inside you laptop has stopped working, or maybe there is a bridging inside. I would advice that you take your laptop to a qualified technician for thorough checkup before something else get affected in your laptop.

While your laptop is on, avoid putting it on a foam, bed, cloth or anything that will chock it, or that will not allow air into it.

You could also face a standing fan to your laptop or put it where air condition will reach it and lets see if the hotness will make any difference before you take it to a technician.

I wish you the best.

My john wood hot water tank over flows through the relief valve every 3 - 6 months. The hot water is too hot and I can't seem to adjust the Aquastat L4103 on the hot water heater to a good temperature....

There should be plate on the front of the hot water heater tank.. Pop that off..
There might be some insilation to move and you should see a set screw for adjusting the temp..
If there are no indications for hotter or cooler - then do a 1/8 turn to a 1/4 turn counter clockwise..

Hope this helps !I
rate me good ;o)
