Question about Logitech diNovo Edge 9676850403 Keyboard

1 Answer

I have the DiNova Edge wireless keyboard. It stopped working. The cursor won't even move. I think something may have happened to the settings during the last Windows update (I believe the operating system is Vista). Any idea how I can troubleshoot?

HI. Normally when this happens, it will be due to a weak battery or failed sensor that links your wireless keyboard to the CPU(USB sensor module). If you are certain that your batteries are fresh and the sensor is connected to the CPU and working, i wound advise to back up your PC to a previous date before you installed the latest update. The new update may have scrambled the necessary driver needed to control the keyboard and sensor, but i would rule out bad battery or failed linking sensor module first before backing the CPU up in system recovery.

If you are forced to back up the system to a previous date, i would recommend to back the system up about 6 days. All back up options are located in the system recovery sections of vista.

I'm using a sony vaio Core i7 with Windows 7. While writing something suddenly i found the cursor have moved somewhere else from where i was writing. Can anyone please help?

It could be that your hand accidentally hit the touchpad while you were typing, which would have moved the cursor. I've done this a few times before, so I'm fairly certain that's what happened. The cursor won't move on its own unless someone is controlling it, and it's highly unlikely that you have a trojan or a virus that is doing that.

Hope this helps!

Mouse/cursor works fine on PC but disappears when watching recorded TV using windows media center. model KB3800TPW

Usually when watching something on your computer in full screen the cursor will disappear. If it comes back when you move the mouse then you have nothing to worry about.

Cursor stops moving and i have mess with battereis to get it going

1st check to be sure the batteries are BOTH good.
Power light on does not always mean there is enough to do the job.

2nd if the contacts are loose then slightly pry the contact out a little.
I do mean just a little! All your trying to do is make a better contact.

3rd make sure the batteries AND the contacts are clean!
Any corrosion or dirt/dust may momentarily cause the batteries to disconnect. Once this happens the cursor stops. No power, no cursor movement is possible.

Good luck!

Dynex is a cheapo brand that usually can be found at Bestbuy. I would not recommend the dynex products at all. You could be getting interference from cell phones, your monitor, a microwave oven, etc.. I have a couple wireless mouse and keyboard sets I got at radioshack that work very well. They only cost me about 20$ and are the Labtec brand.

If you want something a lot better go for logitech products, they are a bit more pricey though.

Cursor and pages opening up off the right side of my desktop

This is a monitor setting. use the menu button on your monitor to shrink the screen size from side to side. The menu button usually toggles you through the settings and the + or - buttons adjust the settings.
This happens a lot if your on a small desk and bump your keyboard against a low sitting monitor.

Magnifier doesn't work

Try going to Control Panel and click on the mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse. In the left column, move your cursor over the right side button click on the drop down and select magnify. Hopefully it will now work.

I had to move the magnify function to the left button because it was to sensitive on the right.
