Vista has long been a troublesome operating system.
Windows 7 is better.
Try going to the Microsoft .com website to download any updates for your Vista operating system. It could be a driver fault,or a configuration mistake on your part. You have to do it according to the manufacturers figures.Try again and then restart the pc and see what happens. If you don't get any results you must get online help from your server or pc/hub manufacturer.

While connecting data card it showing error 628

Hi Mohammed Fai,

Which is your operating system?
Assuming that your Operating system is Vista or Windows & i Have the Below Information.
This may help you.

Error code 628 means that "the port was disconnected". You may refer to:

List of Error Codes that you may receive when you try to make a dial-up connection or a VPN connection in Windows Vista
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923944

Here are the following checklists recommended for setting up VPN:

1. Make sure you logon using the correct username or password or try different username.
2. Make sure the router is VPN pass through or GRE is enabled.

As part of troubleshooting, try these steps:
1. Boot to safe mode with networking and check if you can establish the connection from there.

Refer:
Start your computer in safe mode
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Advanced startup options (including safe mode)
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

2. If the computer is connected to a router, bypass the router to check if it works this way. Refer the router manual for the same.
3. Upgrade the modem/router firmware. Please visit the manufacturer's website for the update.

Considering there maybe some specific settings on the connection which is related to your VPN service provider, it is also recommended that you contact PublicVPN.com for support.

When i get connected to vpn.kongshare.com n open a website it says internet cannot open the webpage. Plz help!!!!

Hello there,

The problem is not isolated to you alone. I have tried viewing the website vpn.kongshare.com from different servers in Asia, Europe and the US but it seem that the website itself is having trouble to load. This is a problem on the website itself or the web hosting provider and this should be looked upon by their technical supports. If you are not the owner of the site, just wait for them to fix the problem.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Verizon disconnects in minutes when on VPN

This is a common problem with VPN and by no means confined to Verizon. You will need to check with whoever you are VPN connecting to as it is most likely they that are experiencing a problem and dropping your connection. Contact the host Network Admin or Support team to assist you. I have had this happen many times, especially when travelling and it has never been an issue with my laptop and has always been the host.

Sonicwall program in Vista

Here's a link to the cleanup tool located on SonicWALL's FTP site:
ftp://ftp.sonicwall.com/pub/techSupport/SWVPNClientClean.zip

If you are still having problems after using the cleanup util, try downloading the DNE demo here:
http://www.deterministicnetworks.com/Downloads/downloads.asp

Use the cleanup util again, then install the DNE demo first and Global client after that. The DNE demo is the virtual adapter piece that Global client uses anyway, you will just be installing it separately.
<<

I got the clean up tool, ran it, rebooted, then ran the DNE demo installer then installed the VPN client and it worked fine.

Hope that helps!

Cisco VPN Client for 32 bit vista

Download the latest version of the Cisco VPN Client. My version is 5.0.03.0530.

You can also try using the Microsoft "MSIZap" utility to ensure a clean uninstall. It is a command-line utility. You will need the original MSI install file from the Cisco VPN client to use MSIZap.

You can download it here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa370523.aspx

Error 1721

This page applys to XP,

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891985

but the solution should be similar. If you've done the registering, the next suspect would be something corrupt in your VPN package.

Try a fresh download or copy of it, and be sure you run as administrator during the install.
