Hmm...maybe your video output is not synched to the projector? check the projector specs, and compare to video output specs for your compaq...it's not usual that a standard computer can drive a projector without a video card update.

No signal from computer to projector

That might be because of the weak or bad connection of computer or the projector. Also you should check whether the projector is out of order or not.

Right click on the desktop, click Properties, click Settings and in there click on the square with the 2 in it - it represents the projector. Enable it, set the default resolution of the projector, make sure the Extend... option is ticked and click Apply. Now it will work - to use it just drag the window of whatever program you want to it. Drag it back before closing it.

Projector only displays desktop wall paper not laptop images

stop the dual monitor moded and it will project what is on the Desktop screen

for this right click on desktop -> properties -> (on the window) Settings here take away the check box for "Extend my Windows desktop to this monitor" and you can have what ever is displayed on your desktop on the screen

but if you keep the the existing setup then you can just drag the windows to the right or left edges and it will move on to the screen and you can use the projector image as an extended monitor, this will be useful when you want to have your presentation and your background work/ Document seperate from the viewing audience, try it you may like it

cheers

please check the manual for the setup instructions also consult your notebook manual to look for the key stroke to extend the display to the projector.Ensure the little details like input mode and that the lens coveris removed etc.
Also check this video for general instruction on connecting the projector to notebook

I can not instal a proxima proyector

Does this give you an error message?
Usually when installing projectors, it's basically "plug and display", just check your Display settings and see if you can choose to either use the projector as the main monitor or extend the monitor image to the projector.
Good luck!

Problems with optoma dx625 projector - can't display single picture and keep thumbnail file open on computer

i think it's not a problem with your projector, but more a problem with how you extend your desktop from your computer to your projector. I assume that you are plugging in through Svideo so right click on the desktop and click on properties, then go to the settings panel, then click once on the big number 2 and click on apply, if this doesn't fix it, go to that same settings panel and change the resolution to 800x600
