This is very easy operation, just follow the steps:

1. Switch on the printer
2. Lift up front cover
3. On left side you will have ink bays, DO NOT MIX INKS! inks must go into designed area, black, cyan, magenta and yellow are not interchangeable... if this is first time, trays will be empty. If you acquired it second hand, there maybe old ink in the trays, push old cartridge down till it pop out of the tray.
4. Remove orange tab from the cartridge, do not touch printhead or circuitry on the cartridge.
5. Insert cartridge to aprioprite slot under slight angle and lift it till click in the place, repeat if needed with another cartrdge.
6. Close cover, wait about 2min till printer finish it's self-cleaning cycle and when it is quaiet, resume printing.

Hope this solved your puzzle :-) Do not hesitate to continue on this topic if you require additional help or clarification on this question.

Where is the toner cartridge and how do I find it?

Plug the Lexmark 2600 into an electrical outlet and press the power button. Allow the unit to power up. The power button will turn green when ready.

Turn on the Printer and Open the top cover of the Lexmark 2600 by lifting the cover upward. you will find all cartridges down there.

Now you see how to replace them

Remove the black ink cartridge from it's packaging. Remove the tape from the black ink cartridge first and place the cartridge into the left ink cartridge holder. Press the cartridge down into until you hear it lock into place. Close the ink cartridge holder lid by pressing it down firmly. This secures the ink cartridge in place.

Remove the colored ink cartridge from the packaging and remove the tape from the cartridge. Place the cartridge into the right cartridge holder and press down until it clicks into place. Push down the cartridge holder lid.

Close the lid of the Lexmark 2600 and allow the print cartridges to align. The power light will be blinking while the cartridges are being aligned; once the power light turns solid, the printer is ready for use.

How to change the ink cartridge in a Canon iP1900 printer please

1•Protect your desk, printer stand or work surface by placing an old newspaper in front of or next to the printer. The newspaper will provide you with a place to work without getting ink anywhere you don't want it. It seems as though no matter how careful or neat you are, a little bit of ink always manages to escape when replacing an ink cartridge.
Prepare the new ink cartridge for installation. Remove the replacement cartridge for your Canon printer from all of its packaging. You may need scissors to remove the heavy wrapper. Leave the protective orange cap or tape in place for now. Set the new cartridge aside on the newspaper.
Remove the old ink cartridge from the Canon printer. With the printer on, open the front door or panel of the printer. Wait a second or two and the ink cartridge holder should move to the opening where it is accessible. If it does not move, shut the door, turn the printer off for a moment, turn it back on and try again. Lift the small lever that secures the ink cartridges within their holder. On most Canon printers, it is colored green and located on the right side of the ink cartridge holder. Gently lift the old ink cartridge out of the printer.
Place the new ink cartridge in the printer. Remove the plastic cap or tape protecting the ink cartridge, being careful not to touch the black and gold "sensor" area of the cartridge. Gently but firmly push the new cartridge into the empty slot left where you removed the old ink cartridge. The label should be facing outward. You should feel the cartridge pop into place. Then push the lever back down that you lifted in Step 3. Close the printer door. Use paper towel or wet wipes to clean any ink from your hands.

Have all in one 2500. "Cartridges not compatible" error. I have 34 (18C0034) and 35 (18C00035). Are those the wrong cartridges? Thanks Terry

Hi. The 34(18C0034) and the 35(18C00035) are compatible with your printer. The printer may not be recognizing the cartridges properly. Make sure the protective blue sticker on the nozzles are already removed. If you have done so but problem still persitent, try cleaning the nozzles of the cartridges. To clean, place a damp and a dry paper towel on the table. Grab one cartridge and place it on damp towel first with the nozzle facing down like how you are placing it in the printer. Draw about 2-3 lines. Then do the same thing on the dry towel. Do the same sequence with the other cartridge. Place one cartridge only in the printer then close it without the other cartridge. Check for any error. If there is, replace that cartridge. If no error, proceed inserting the other cartridge. If there is an error, replace that cartridge. Hope this helps.

Take out the catridge and check for the following:

    1. At the base of the cartridge where a chip like item is, take off or strip off a glue like label if its on the chip surface of the cartridge.

    2. Make sure you place the black and colour cartridge at the right positions.

    3. Check the Cartridge bay in the printer (i.e where you place the cartridge in the printer) for the right color description to help you place the cartridge properly.

    4. Lastly check the cartridge pack or printer manual to make sure the cartridges are compactible with the printer, else return them to the shop for replacement

HP 4280 - new black refilled cartridge not recognised

hi steve... the solution to your problem is a costly one. the printer keeps in memory 2 cartidges for colour and 2 for black, when a third is placed in the printer the first one is deleted out of memory same for the colouredand same for the black... therefore you need 3 cartridges each to do the trick.
eg. if you want to use colour cartridge #2 then 1st place colour nuber 1 or 3, then turn it on let it reads, then open door and place in colour number 3 or 1 let it read, then take out and place in coulur number 2 and it will see it as new
