Try this, Remove and reinstall all USB controllers To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps: Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK. Click the Hardware tab. Click the Device Manager button. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers. Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.

IF this does NOT make it work, then it has failed, these things fail often, it is very common, which is why one should back up. But if like me one never does ..lol

The firmware crashed for an unknown reason - the player has frozen. If you're lucky this is just temporary so removing the battery, waiting 10 minutes and putting the battery back on will be enough to reset it. If it's the same then it's a hardware problem and the unit should be sent to them for diagnostic.
In that case you can try to recover your music files manually: plug it in the USB, open My Computer , open it (it should be there as a new Removable Disk) then copy/paste all the files to your pc.

If it isn't recognized then it's dead - the memory chip inside has failed, nothing more can be done to it and all your songs are lost.

what can u do when it just show eclipse i put it to charge

  • Azrael SRL Nov 14, 2010

Your player is composed of just 6 parts: a case, an LCD screen, a battery, a plastic board for the electronics and on it 2 other chips - one is the controller, the other the memory. In your case, the battery, the screen , the board and the controller are still working - you are seeing the name of the player when you charge it. BUT the memory chip has failed and without it the player can't work. There is nothing you can do to fix that - the memory chip is glued on the board and cannot be replaced. The player is dead, time for a new one.

How do I download songs on my eclipse mp3 player

Connect the player to your computer using the USB cable that came with the player. The player will show up as a "Removable Drive" in Windows Explorer. If you have songs on your computer (files with .mp3 extension), transfer those to the player using 'Copy/Paste' operations in Windows Explorer or use the Windows Media Player program to transfer them. If you do not have any songs on your computer get some with iTunes.

Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?

Hi,

1. Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?
= This is probably because the format that your songs are currently in is not supported by your device. Supported devices on the Mach Speed Eclipse 180 MP3 player are: mp3, wav, and wma. If your music is for example filename.cda, it won't be able to play because of the file format being .cda.

2. I also see the song on the eclipse but it says drm protected and will not play the song.
= When ripping your music, check your ripping options in whichever ripping software you are using that protecting music files is off, this may be the reason why your music cannot play - it may be protected to only play on the computer that ripped(recorded or duplicated) the song.

It wont hold any songs

It's not meant too, You burn the mp3 files onto a CD and then the cd player read them. that way you can have 200-300 songs in mp3 format on a 700MB cd.

Music will not save to MP3 beyond 13 %

You are doing nothing wrong this just seems like a manufactuer error.

If warranty still stands take it back and explain to them the problem you have.

If the mp3 player came with a CD install the software on the CD.

Most mp3 players these days come with there own music uploading software.

I have tryed to find Delstars website but they don't seem to have an official website. If a instruction guide came with it have a look for a website.

My finall solution would to format your mp3 player (not just deleting the songs) doing format correctly.

If you want to try formatting follow these steps. Go to "Start" - "My Computer" look for something called "Removable Disk" which should be your mp3 player now right click on it and click on "Format". Allow it to format and put music on it again as normal and see if that works.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.
