Question about Sony 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Memory Card
This is a simple problem. The same happened to me, and I was annoyed when I found out the answer because it was so simple. Here's what to do:
On the side of the actual memory card, not the stick, the same as in the picture you've posted(), there is a little switch. Above the switch, it says 'LOCK'. At the underneath of the switch, it says'UNLOCK'. Make sure the switch is set to 'UNLOCK'.
Hope this helps.

There are certain folders that the PSP puts on the stick when it formats it. Format the new stick on the PSP first. Then, you can transfer you files to it.
