This is a simple problem. The same happened to me, and I was annoyed when I found out the answer because it was so simple. Here's what to do:
On the side of the actual memory card, not the stick, the same as in the picture you've posted(how do i unlock my memory stick 2gb to be able to - 7440557.jpg), there is a little switch. Above the switch, it says 'LOCK'. At the underneath of the switch, it says'UNLOCK'. Make sure the switch is set to 'UNLOCK'.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: PSP not detecting files on a 4gb memory stick PRO Duo

There are certain folders that the PSP puts on the stick when it formats it. Format the new stick on the PSP first. Then, you can transfer you files to it.

I have 2gb sandisk memory card i dnt giving password.but appear password plz giving common password.

Hello Ayca,

To Unlock the SanDisk 2GB microSD Memory Card password you will require the Nokia 2690 or Nokia 2700 Classic phone.

Download FE Explorer from the link http://fexplorer.en.softonic.com/download/25347

Insert card into your phone but don't access it through phone.

Run FExplorer and Open the path C:\system.

You will find a file called mmcstore ,rename the file mmcstore.txt

Copy that file(mmcstore.txt) to your pc and open that file in notepad.

You will find your password in that file to unlock the memory card password.

My sandisk memory stick pro duo has shown up file error in my pictures so when i go to transfer them on to my computer it can't get past the error how do i solve this?

Without knowing what the specific error is this is my best guess:

SOLUTION 1 - Unlock the memory card.
There is a Lock switch on the left side of the SD card. Make sure the Lock switch is slid up (unlock position). You will not be able to modify or delete the contents on the memory card if it is locked.

SOLUTION 2 - Toggle the lock switch.
If the lock switch is not on lock:
1. Slide the switch up and down. Repeat this 3 times.
2. Let it stay on the Lock position for 30 seconds.
3. Slide the switch up to unlock the card.
4. Try to transfer files into the device.

Hii sir pls help me mine kingstone data traveler 2gb is write protected so how shall i remove write protected?

Copy all the files onto your 'C:' drive.
Spend $9 to buy a new 2GB USB memory-stick.
Copy the files to the new memory-stick.
Take a sledge-hammer to the old memory-stick -- to prevent anybody else from reading your files.

Nothing on memory 2GB memory stick but only 333+MB available, why?

there could be corrupted file inside your memory stick. it would be best to reformat the memory and check once again if you will get a 2GB free space.

Problem with corrupted files

Dont panic... Just insert the memory stick in to a card reader and donot try to open it. but make sure that your memory stick gets detected. Then you can use any of the file recovery softwares to recover the photographs with out formating.I generally use the free app "PC file recovery". In case your memory stick is not detected in the first place, then There is no other option other than formatting. But the recovery software can recover 90% of the photos even after formatting.
If this doesnt work, post back. I will explain in more detail.
