You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

The LAN is not stable. I cant connect a local area cable to it and I have lost my display drivers


Hi,

According to your problem first check the LAN cable with LAN tester kit. Unplug the cable and plug it again. Then reboot the system and the switch (if connected) both. You can reinstall the LAN driver also. If it doesn't solve your problem then you have to repair the LAN port of the motherboard. For the graphics driver, download it from HP website.

The computer has an ethernet adapter builtin, in the control panel disable the ethernet connection Device=NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and then make sure the drivers for the usb cable modem are installed.
