Question about HP Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Hi! I'm in desparate need of some computer help. Recently on my HP Pavilion HDX 9000 laptop with Vista 64bit I have been experiencing computer crashes. Here's what happens: When charging my computer (AC plugged in) and when watching a movie (for some odd reason) my computer gradually shuts off. At first, I couldn't get it on but remembered the hard reset option on laptops (pull out the battery, push and hold the on button for 30 seconds, put in the battery). This has seemed to work but every time it crashes I have to do this!! What is wrong? I've even tried flashing/updating BIOS but is still has been happening. What do I need to do? Is it the AC power charging adaptor? Should I replace? Is it the motherboard?? (I hope it's not the motherboard :( I've done all system checks, defrag, tuneups and everything comes out clean, no viruses.. what else can I try?

My hdx dragon laptop battery is not recharging, even with a new battery installed no charging is possible. Can you help ?

If your computer functions while plugged into the ac adapter, but the battery still is not charging, then the battery will likely need to be replaced. If your computer does not run while plugged in, then you may have a faulty ac adapter. You should be able to obtain a replacement adapter from the manufacturer or a universal one from a local component shop or online

32bit vista to 64bit win7

your recovery manager files should be on drive D or other partition. if not then its gone. but the operating system cd that goes with your laptop is still better than the factory default anyway but the thing is, youll need the cd everytime you want to reformat.

if i where you, il go for 32bit win 7 since your computer used to be a 32 bit vista. no worries about making the most out of your computer since win 7 eats less than vista anyway. and go for 32 bit since your laptop is made for 32 bit.

Hi i need restore file for my laptop hp dv 9000

Hi,

if it,s just a file your missing, you should be able to download from Hewlett Packards Download Site.

If it,s a complete restoration CD you need:-

You can setup the Computer with Windows XP Or Vista. Then look at what drivers are missing Or not installed. then download from Manufacturers website. Install and re-boot Computer.

Usual drivers missing after windows installation ( VGA/Graphics Driver-Sound-Modem )

Thankyou For Using Fixya.

Must reboot to connect to internet

It Happens sometime because Machine does not pass information properly so we need to restart our system to reset all settings again.
and Vista still has many bugs on it so these cases are normal until next version release.

Thank you,
