Try to connect it on any other pc or laptop if the problem remain same on them then it must be came some internal fault in your device. If it has warranty go to the device service centre to get a replacement of your product.

I cannot get a SanDisk flashdrive to go into either of the USB ports on my new desktop computer. I am using the USB ports located on top of the computer

To test the functionality of the usb ports in front of the computer
1. Insert another flash drive or another usb device like a usb mouse on front the computer 2. If it detect the usb device that means 2 things flash drive might be bad and the front usb port is working 3. If it does not, It means that the flash drive might be bad or the usb port is not connected to the front panel of the computer 4. Try also inserting the flash drive at the back of the computer see if the usb drive is detected in all ports 5. Check the BIOS for any usb port associativity

When i insert a cd it says no cd

The receiver player lens needs cleaning. If your receiver is not used for long time or in dusty environment, such problems do occur. Even after cleaning the problem is not solved, then replace the player assembly. It is better to replace the assembly than to replace the pickup lens.

Charging Light is on when battery in , and charger plugged in , no reaction when power switch is pressed , fan not spinning ,no power light ,nothing . When battery take out , no charging light when charger...

This sounds like a USB problem. If there is a short or damage within the port the computor will detect it and prevent it from starting. Usually it's a USB port you always use. This may help, Plug in the mains charger and remove all USB devices. This will confirm weather its the computer or a USB cable/device. If the computer still doesn't start, get a bright light and a magnifying glass and look inside all the USB ports on the computer. In the middle of the port there is a flat plastic piece with 4 metal contacts attached to it. Check to see if they are bent, twisted or flattened in any way and with a pin or other suitable pointy device, attempt to straighten any damaged contacts. If you cannot get the contacts aligned, just try to get them away from each other and away from the wall of the port, then insert a piece of card or folded paper above and below the contact strip and tape them down. This will insulate the port and stop a reoccurance of the problem. You should find the computer starts (with a few complaints from windows) normally. this has worked for me 9 times out of 10 for this problem.
Good luck.

I have a toshiba laptop and broke my usb port by removing my printer usb. The computer worked fine until I restarted it,now I can only get a blck screen. It turns on buit it seems different. what can I do?

The USB interface is rugged and is designed to only allow a connector insertion one way. However, if a connector is upside-down and forcefully jammed into the port at an angle, it is possible shove it in and in doing so breaking the port's hardware. If you examine the port closely, you may see the part with four contacts bent such that the contacts are shorting to the metal shell of the port. Inserting a small piece of cardboard between the contacts and the shell may be sufficient to remove the short and so allow start up to proceed past the power up check of the USB ports. If this doesn't work, you can try pressing F8 repeatedly on power up to get into Windows safe mode menu where you can select different modes of start up including one without any drivers which may allow you to bypass the USB hardware problem. But this is a makeshift solution which only gives you very limited functionality. If the laptop is still under warranty, take it in for repair by a qualified technician. If the cardboard trick works and you don't care if one USB port is no longer functionable, then you can as an alternative just leave things as they are.

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and I can't type anything I changed the batteries and its acting like it has no power, nothing is working on the key board but the mouse is working. Thanks Tate

1) make sure your batteries are inserted correctly
2) make sure when you insert the USB sending unit into a port that the USB port is working
3) press the connect button on the sending unit and also the connect buttons on the bottom of the keyboard and mouse.
3) make sure in the system setup that USB is enabled.

Damaged USB Port

Ok I think the best method to "Fix" this would be to get your self a 4 - 5 port USB card, they are, real cheap, insert it into a spare slot, inside your PC, and install the drivers, if any, and use that one. And simply ignore the other one all together.

Asus P4P800-X USB Problem

Maybe your USB port on your computer is model 1.0 while the hard drive is a 2.0. That would cause it not to read it. Check your system information and see what model your USB ports are.
