Question about Carrier Heating & Cooling
Buy circuit board and remote together that are known to work with each other (sic) I think you have answered your own question.. very sagacious.
To my mind that;s really all you can do. I am surprised that the tech didn't sort it out 100% I for one would be displeased with that sort of non-service.
I cannot really understand why the new one wouldn't work? If codes properly..
if it were my i would seek a "Second opinion" as i don't feel that that tech is worth his/her salt, so to speak..
just keep on at them until they sort it out. Anything less is simply unacceptable...
It's their product, it's incumbent upon them to make it work for you.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
