Question about Nisca PR5300 Duplex Card Printer System - 2 Year Warranty

I switched from a Nisca 5300 printer to 5350. Can't successfully print a badge from API TimeID application. In the Nisca Status Monitor, it reads 'ISO SUPPORT NOT FOUND'. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I, too, switched to the 5350 and am also getting the "ISO SUPPORT NOT FOUND' message. I've dug through the NISCA documentation and I can't figure out what the message means either. The vendor mistakenly shipped us one without a mag stripe encoder so I'm thinking it may have something to do with that? Although, I can print to a laser printer and THAT doesn't have a mag stripe encoder. Let me know if you find something!

When I try to print multiple cards, only 2 cards print, the same two all the time, the others don't


It sounds like you might have a job stuck in the print-queue. Best way to check is to start with a clean slate:

1. Shut-down your badge-software, and disconnect the printer from its power source;
2. Navigate to the Windows print center - accessible from the Control Panel as "Printers & Faxes" if Windows-XP, or "Devices and Printers" if Windows 7.
3. Right-click on your Zebra P110i printer, and select "See What's Printing" to open the queue, and see if there are jobs there. If so, click "Printer" on the menu, and then "Cancel all Document".
4. You also should ensure that you don't have any additional instances of the printer drive installed - they would show up as Zebra P110i (Copy 1), ... (Copy 2), etc. This occurs within Windows if you've disconnected the PC-end of the USB cord, and then plugged into a different USB port than originally used. If you have multiple instances, the easiest way to clean this up is to right-click on each sequentially, selecting "Remove this Device". Do this for each one.
5. Now you have a "clean slate". Connect the Zebra printer to the PC's USB, and then re-connect the power. If it doesn't power on, push the power button so it is on.
6. WAIT until Windows recognizes the pritner and you see the device is ready to use.
7. Open your badge software, and select a single card to print, and send it to the printer. If all goes well, this single card will print correctly, then the printer will come back to a ready status. Repeat for a second card, and make sure it prints correctly, and comes back to ready. If all is good, you've likely cleared the issues up, and you can proceed normally. If not, then there may be a physical problem with the printer, where it is not recognizing that a finished card has been ejected and the job is done, or it's not communicating that "done" status back to the host PC.

Fs5350dn wrinkles envelopes when using the envelope switch button


Hi, I am having a serious challenge printing to the FS-5350-DN from work or anything, it simply just restart the application and reopen the document. It used to work just fine, but all of a sudden this starts to happen. this is from a select number of computers though, both windows XP and WIndows 7, but funny enough I can print to another FS-5350-dn on the same network from other computers to the same printers. These printers are all on one Printer server, we are also using papercut...

Can someone say what is going on here?

Check all connections and make sure all devices are on. If the power was turned off during printing, cancel the print job. If the error does not clear, see your printer documentation.

Kodak 5300 printer is printing picture with a purple tint to them


Is your monitor calibrated? What paper are you using? Are you using icc profiles? where are you printing from? ie: photoshop, windows application, other software? could be a conflict betwwen program and print driver.

Just reloaded both printer inks. Does not show full on the ink status and when you try to print it just shows spooling but never prints. On the screen on the printer it shows full color but little black.


where did you see the ink status? On you rcomputer while pritning to an apllication? If yes dont worry about that its not that accurate., You may see the correct details about ink status if you launch your home center software and you will see there your ink status just click the help icon(?)., and also you can see ink status in your 5300 printer right? Press menu and scroll down and look for the ink status.,

Status Monitor isn't hihglighted so I can't check


This can only be done by getting a new status monitor software . Follow my instructions:- STEP 1 - Install the Epson StatusMonitor software. This program comes on the CD included with the printer. It can also be downloaded from the Epson Web site ( http://download.cnet.com/Epson-Status-Monitor-2/3000-2116_4-10024738.html ).
STEP 2 - Open the Epson StatusMonitor program in any application (such as wordprocessingmag-glass_10x10.gif, spreadsheets or Web browsers) that allows you to print. Click on the "File" menu tab in the control bar of the application.
STEP 3 - Select print or page setup from the "File" menu. A dialog box will open. In that box, click on the "StatusMonitor" icon, which will open the "Epson StatusMonitor" dialog box. Also, you can click on the "Utility" icon and then the "Epson StatusMonitor" button from the "Utility" dialog box.
STEP 4 - Click on the "Update" button to update the display (if you do not think these levels are accurate) when the "Epson StatusMonitor" dialog box displays the relative ink levels for each cartridge in the printer.
STEP 5 - Go back to the "Print" dialog box to change the way that the StatusMonitor utility monitors your printer and ink levels. Click on the "Utility" button again.
STEP 6 - Click on the "Configuration" button in the "Utility" dialog box. The open "Configuration" dialog box will let you adjust settings such as ink level warnings and ink level monitoring before each printing.

Error light and no printing


What does the status monitor message say? The red light is the most general error. It's bit like taking a 747 back to Boeing and saying there is something wrong with it.

If you do not have the status monitor installed, download it from Konica Minolta and run it. Once the status monitor is running it will read the error from the printer.
