Try shutting it down, removing the power cord and battery, then holding the power button for 10 seconds to remove any power left in the capacitors. Also hit the quick play buttons. Then put the battery back in and try. If that doesnt work, its probably a driver problem or a faulty connection.

Follow these steps to remove and reassemble the battery,

1 Shut of your Computer OR plug it in to the charger.
    2 Close the Lid
3 Flip your iBook upside down, or hold it vertical.
4 Look for an unlocking slot on the front right.
5 Use a coin to turn it to 'unlocked'.
6 Press a small grey button. 1-4 lights will turn on. These light represent battery power, and reset it in case your computer has the wrong reading.
    7 Slide out the battery.

9 Slide the battery in sideways with the side near the edge of the laptop sticking out.
10 Press down on that part.
    11 Squeeze it into place.
12 Using the coin, turn the key back to locked.

Hp mini 110 keyboard doesn't have backlit.. how can I possibly turn it on?

I am not sure if you are saying the keyboard is not lit, or the screen isn't? If the screen, If the battery can be removed, try removing it, disconnect from AC adapter too, and leave it there for 30 seconds. After doing that, connect it to the AC adapter only and turn it on.
If it works, shutdown, connect the battery back and try to turn it on again. If it works, lucky you, your battery is not bricked. Otherwise you may have to get a new one, or use the equipment with AC adapter only.

Nothing on key board works, mouse works tried changing batteries several times and rebooting still nothing, i m useni on-screen keyboard

If the keyboard is wireless then you should have a small button underneath the keyboard that says "Connect", press that and if you have a receiver press the button on that too and the keyboard should work.

The batteries keep going flat in my HP remote keyboard. The original batteries lasted about 12 months .When a notice appeared on the screen saying the battery was low i replaced them now they only last 2...

you might want to try quality batteries. When you replace the batteries let the keyboard set with no batteries for e.g. 5 minutes so that it "registers" that the batteries have been replaced. Maby disable the onscreen message and just use the keyboard untill it stops working :-)

On boot with battery or on power same result. The computer boots to window sign on screen but mouse and keyboard do not work. On reboot tried F2 for setup screen which does work but then once at setup...

i would have told you to go into the bios but seen as you say that F2 key does not work on boot indicates that the keyboard has failed, to check this try another keyboard and see if you get the same result, or if the keyboard is USB try it in a different USB port

hope this helps

kind regards

My Acer Aspire T310 won't go past the Acer screen and the Keyboard and Mouse don't work

Yours may be a little old computer and the cmos battery (on the mother board)is drained out. Replace this battery. You need a working keyboard.

Wireless belkin keyboard

Hi. I have just worked out how to solve this as I had a similar problem. When you change the batteries of a Belkin Wireless Keyboard model F8E332ukBNDL you need to reconnect the keyboard to the wireless receiver that plugs into the USB port. To do this you press the 'Connect' button on the receiver and also press the green LED connect light at the top right of the keyboard - the one that flashes each time you press a key. I'm not sure in what combination you press these but I pressed them both and it worked.
