Someone has set player to "Intro Play" Mode. Check your manual to set it to normal mode.

Start the music playing then tap the menu button which brings you to the music sub-menu. Scroll till you find repeat. Select it by pressing the menu button again. Now scroll till you see normal. Select by pressing menu button. The menu button might be substituted be another button( Mode) depending on the model.

Plays 10 seconds...can't find settings...delstar 1705 mp3...help

Your Mp3 is in scan/intro mode, where it typically only plays ten seconds. If you can turn that off it should be right. There has to be some indicator of this on the LCD screen. Recommend you press twice on each button and see if the icon or text changes or disappears.

If you are running Windows 98 First or Second Edition, you may want to use the driver CD that came with your player and install the driver. If it is not supported by Windows 98 First Edition, upgrade to Second Edition. If you are using Windows 2000 or XP, you may want to check on the Device Manager to see if the player is connected. If the selected player shows an "?", it means you will need to update the driver. Run the Update Driver wizard, and install the player as removable disk.

For the 10 second play problem the player has been set to intro mode, which only will play the first 10 seconds of each song. While it is playing, press the mode button ( bottom right ) once. This brings up the play sub-menu. It should show " repeat" as the first item. Press mode button again and it should show "intro". Now press either the top or middle buttons on the right side once, this shows all repeat choices again, using the same buttons scroll through them till "normal" is highlighted. Then press the bottom right button again. This shoudl put it back in normal play mode and return to the music screen.
