Take the top of the water pump in order to turn the impeller manually and make sure it would spin freely. And visually inspect the pump is correct. If the the motor to the pump is not working then it would not turn the impeller. But in your case, you say that there is no power to the pump.In this case the problem is power to the pump and not the ( motor, impeller and pump). Its power to pump/So in this case the wires leading to pump from the board needs to be checked. You mentioned that visually they look ok.In this case you need to test it with meter. To confirm there is continuity. If there is a minute cut or short in wire or any wire is got loose then it will not send power to pump to run. Also check the pump motor wirings. If the motor is got weak or burned or if the pump motor wirings are go loose then also it will not turn the impeller. ---------------- The pump is connected to main board. If pump is confirmed that its ok,then other possibility is main control board. ----------- The fig below is whole water pump assembly:--- helpmech_81.jpg
The wires coming from pump. This connector has to be unplugged, then checked with meter and visually both.It there is continuity and it shows voltage, then its working. But if there is no voltage then its faulty water pump assembly. In other case for main circuit board:--- Many a times at back of circuit board the circuit tracks gets shorted and burned. For that board needs to be removed and visually inspected. See fig below for main circuit board:--- helpmech_82.jpg
This is the back portion of same board. On this side the circuit tracks gets burned some times:--- helpmech_83.jpg

From everything that I can see it seems as though you have a circuit board problem... it is not always telling the pump to run when it should...

I would replace the circuit board...

Where can I find a replacement pump motor for my GE Monogram ZDI15CBB Ice Maker? It's a Jakel J238-062-6510 motor.

Which pump are you looking for? Drain or recirculating pump (WR57X10028) now GE didn't produce this unit so you can find this part cheaper from Whirlpool part number 2217220 for half the price. As for the drain pump 1901A is a complete kit for an ice machine for the external drain system. I hope this helps. Good Luck

Water keeps running in the ice maker I replaced the pump and is still doing it

It sounds like your electronic water valve is just stuck open and will need to be replaced, or you could have an icemaker stuck in the fill mode calling for water all the time.
The best way to determine which part is faulty is to just remove the screws mounting the icemaker and then disconnect the wire connection to the icemaker. Turn the water back on and if water still keeps coming in, then you need a new electronic water valve, otherwise just replace the icemaker itself.

I have the GE ZDi15 Icemaker. I have cleaned, inspected, flushed, and done everything plausible except replace the circulating pump. My specific problem is that upon initial operation, the water basin...

The fill action is not pump related as it is a switch that allows tap water pressure to fill the basin. The pump itself needs to be replaced. I have found them for as low as $130 plus shipping on the web. I have looked at replacing the electric motor on the pump and it is not cost effective as you would have to reset the pump shaft in to the electric motor which requires special tools. No real savings doing that. Good news is that pump replacement is easy and it is plug and play.

Ge monogram ice maker makes loud churning noise. Any suggestions

Mine has been doing the same thing and foound it was the pump cavitating (dry). What caused it on my unit is there was buildup of minerals on the sides of the freezer plate so the ice slab wouldn't slide all of the way down onto the grid. When the unit would start the next cycle the water would ramp up over the stuck slab and down into the ice bin and then the pump would start making the noise. A related problem could be the cutter grid not heating so the slabs back up and results in the same issue. Look up into the freezer plate next time it makes the noise and see if there is a slab partially stuck.

Water pump for icemaker leaking, need replacement pump.

Either the inlet valve /water pump is defective, or the icemaker solenoid is shored.

Most likely the second one.

Water is leaking in side the freeze

It's the pump for the icemaker/water dispenser. When it goes bad, it just starts pumping water into your icemaker until it overflows into your freezer. You simply have to replace the pump. It's happened to mine twice.

You can very easily replace the pump yourself in about 3 to 5 minutes, and the pump only costs about 48 dollars.

Here's a link to the cheapest place to buy the pump:

The first time I had this repaired, the repairman charged me over 300 dollars. I did it myself the last time. All I used was a pair of pliers.

Good luck!
