Question about Craftsman Garden
This sounds like you might not getting good spark, and since that's happening, gas is building up in the cylinders and backfiring. Make sure you have a good, clean spark plug, and that the wire to it is clean and making good contact. I hope it's something simple like this going on, but here's a discussion about the same problem from a web blog I found:
