After double clicking yahoo messenger icon on my desktop it is taking nearly 20 sec for the window to open.. my net is always being disconnected while i am chatting using ymsgr 10..its not happening while i am using other products

Click the Start button, then click Control Panel.

Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows XP, or "Programs and Features" in Windows Vista and 7. If you do not see the appropriate option for your version of Windows, click "Classic View" in Windows XP and Vista or "View by: Small icons" in Windows 7.

Find Yahoo! Messenger on the list. Click on it, then click the "Remove" button if you are running Windows XP. If you are running Windows Vista or 7, right-click on Yahoo! Messenger and click "Uninstall."

Restart your computer and log back into Windows.

Visit the OldVersion.com link for Yahoo! Messenger. Click on the appropriate link to download the version that you would like. Version 7.0 is used for the directions in this article.

Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation. Read through the license agreement, click "I Agree" if you agree to the terms and click "Next."

Click "Browse" to select the destination folder for Yahoo! Messenger, or click "Next" to install it in the default location.

Double-click the Yahoo! Messenger icon on the desktop to launch the program.

Well yahoo messenger is a chat platform, friend. If you want to talk someone just create an account with yahoo.com after you creating an account...download yahoo messenger...after downloading. Click the icon of the yahoo messenger...then open and click install...click next next if the installation prompt you to proceed...finish
start chatting: double click the yahoo messenger icon into your desktop enter your yahoo ID and password to start
locate chat on the dropdown list...select any country you want...enter a room click it then click on the name of the person you want to chat..that's it...start talking now

I assume you are accessing Yahoo! Messenger from your Computer. Well, if you've signed out, simply open the Yahoo! Messenger and sign in again using your Yahoo ID and Password. You should have a Yahoo Messenger icon similar to this on your desktop...


When it is opened, you'll see the sign-in box which should look more or less similar to this:


You can also open the Yahoo! Messenger from the Taskbar, double-click the Yahoo!Messenger icon on the taskbar to open it.. (reddened icon below)


If you can't find it on the desktop or on the taskbar, click "Start" > "All Programs" > "Yahoo! Messenger" and open it, or you should see the Yahoo!Messenger icon in the Start Menu Program lists.

go to start>program files/all programs>yahoo/yahoo messenger>right click on the yahoo messenger icon and click send to>desktop *create shortcut* than the icon should be there again, unless your saying the picture for the icon disappeared, than you right click>properties click the thing that says change icon, once the box shows up with the icon double click it then hit okay right click your desktop click refresh and it will reappear.

I open Yahoo IM by double left clicking or one right click on the desktop icon. With the right click, you'll have to click on open. To start IMing I right click on the friends' photo area. The menu window opens and i choose what i want to do.

It is possible that it is running in your taskbar (bottom right-hand of screen). If so, double click this smaller icon to open the window. If not, try uninstalling and reinstallnig Yahoo Messenger.

Step 9. double click on yahoo messenger or single click and press enter

Step 10. after its open just feed your email id and password

Step 11. after login you click on messenger menu

Step 12. find yahoo chat option in messenger menu

Step 13. In Yahoo chat click on join room

Step 14. after some process you can see many rooms like romance, religion etc.

Step 15. Select any one room (click on one room name if u want go in romance so please click on romance) you can see this left side

Step 16. after click you wait for some process

Step 17. after process you can right side 20's loves( ), 30's loves ( ). Please double click on one room

Step 18. after you can see some process and you can see enter chat tab please click on this tab

Step 19. after you can see chat room and you need to type one code which you see der.

Step 20. After that you can chat with available male/female in chat room

On your windows, click Start.
Select All Programs.
Select Yahoo messenger
Click Yahoo Messenger program icon. Yahoo messenger will be displayed. If it succesfully displayed then make a shortcut for that program icon on your desktop. double click it every time you want to use it.

If the program icons did not reponse too, then I suggest you uninstall Yahoo messenger and download different versions.

1-Firstly go to the official yahoo messenger site and click the download button and ok
2-after press the ok button ,downloading will be start and one prompt you see in your screen,which place you want to save this setup,save the download file in your desktop,after fiw min ,installation will be finished,download window will be close,
3-Double click on the installer icon on your desktop. This will open an installation window. You will have to follow several prompts in order to accept the Yahoo! Messenger terms of service and customize your installation settings.
4-after that you will see the one yahoo messenger icon in your desktop,please click on it and put you yahoo id and password and enjoy it.
