Question about Panasonic Viera TH-50PX80U Plasma TV

1 Answer

Panasonic TH50PX80U. When I turn it on the power light stays lit (no blinks) but I have no picture and no sound. Cannot find any info on troubleshooting. Have tried different outlet, same results. Any ideas? All help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem and the only way I could trun the TV off was to unplug it. I took it to a shop and they said it needed a Main board/ A board. They seemed to think that it was a victim of a power surge. The part is around $170 used and $500 new. It is a very rare board so i am still looking for a used one. The part number is TNPH0716ABS.

Thats a driver error which is usually indicating the SC board has an issue. But it could also be the SU or the SD boards. But the SC is most likely for the 7 blink error

Hi,
TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.
